We have such a big turnover of players. There’s ex players everywhere for us.
The play off semi finals I swear there’s been at least 3 in each...
there was 6 ex Latics in the Notts County vs Coventry.
Another 3 in the Scottish cup final.
Another 3 in Exeter vs Lincoln
Another 2 in Scunthorpe vs Rotherham
Another 2 in Middlesbrough vs Villa

Good player, nothing more nothing less.
Another inconsistent midfielder that can be brilliant one minute and pass it to an advertising board the next.
-
I thought exactly the same with regards to the boots. Bargain kitting the girlfriend out with a £7 latics dressing gown!
Seriously the deals theyve got are ridiculous... 70% every Saturday. I asked them about closing down she was adamant also that they’re not.
-
Ye, got my hands on a shirt for a 10 note, wouldn’t have bothered but at that price why not.
Heard that people came in stockpiling football boots and balls selling them on... shame because could have copped myself a pair of Nike premiers for £12, (but didn’t have my size due to somebody buying 17 pairs) I nearly paid £105 for them 2 months ago.
-
Forgotten how many they used to bring, was never that many was it? Apart from two seasons when they were doing well.

My team has just won at Wembley, what's one of the first things I want to do?
In all fairness, they’re probably looking at league two and finally glad they’re playing a team with something about them who have a following, can’t faukt him for being excited.
30 minutes after winning at Wembley though ? bless

Just watching the Scunthorpe vs Rotherham game... and interesting to see how Paul Warne is doing after being given a chance to go again in a lower division.
Because he got the job at Rotherham when they were bottom of the league, he didn’t manage to keep them up and got relegated in his first year, now they’ve rebuilt and done reasonably well this year.
Similar story at our place surely? Apart from Wellens had us hoping for heights because of how well he did when he first came in.
If we dropped down and he was to get us in the play offs that would constitute a good season wouldn’t it?

Shock MontyBurns is at it again this time of year about the ST prices. Can’t argue that £11 a game is bad value...
Plan for early bird and you won’t be disappointed

Maybe part of the problem Stevie, few taking responsibility.
Both Edmundson and Hamer will be future captains, whether at this club or not.
Not seen anything from Hamer that will indicate him being a captain elsewhere. Edmundson seems a leader, I’ll give you that one.
Although Tarky was quite the leader from his very first appearance and has very rarely captained a side since. I think he’s worn an armband on a handful of occasions.
Whatve you seen in Hamer that strikes you as a captain BP? Looks a player though. His best performance came at RB though not CB.

Gone through about 720 degrees on Placide. Watched him in the warm up at Rotherham he had 86 shots taken at him and conceded 74 so I felt reasonably safe saying he was shit.
Then he played and I loved him.
Then I met him and he couldn’t speak a word of English, his kid did some translating, which worried me in terms of organising a defence. I also realised how small he is.
Then some racist on here called me a liar and claimed to have had a full conversation with him ??
Then his mum died and he was shit again, but massive kudos for coming back so soon as we needed him. With hindsight this was a mistake.
Then he picked up again for a couple of games either side of rochdale.
Then saturday happened.
Might have been me that, I was passing on what my mate had told me... that he speaks good English when they were in conversation after Bradford away, I ended up in hospital but was fairly sure this was what they said. Definitely not racist however.
Agree with the rest, I’ve changed my mind so much on wether I like him or not - he has had a few absolute stinkers and cost us crucial goals, he’s also kept us in games. Would probably try to find better, if not... he’ll do for league two.

Get a decent journeyman as cover and a loan from prem/championship. Keeper is the one position where a loan really works I think. No hiding place and they are obsessed with clean sheets.
Let me take you back to Wilson and Ruddy.

Weird that we've conceded so many but player by player you think most of them are alright...
Defensive coach init. Na, but seriously we lacked organisation massively.
Just because we had an ex defender in our coaching ranks doesn’t neccesrly mean he’s a good defensive coach. May be slightly different because he’s a level above me (Paul Terry) but I’ve always been a centre back... however I’m much more comfortable putting sessions on for the attackers.
We lacked organisation and defensive systems, in fact I’ve not noticed a system all season. He tinkered with one for a bit at the start of his reign.
Id keep most of our defenders besides Wilson and Mantack (latter is harsh because not featured but no point being on wage bill)
Not convinced I’d keep Clarke and Gerrard, but funnily enough I reckon them two at the back in League Two dependant on how you set up to play, could work quite well (I wouldn’t want it at my club though)

You know it’s a 17.30 kick off, right?!
Ye, 5.30 KO - we’re in Northampton for 12.00... if we make kick off it’ll be a miracle!

What train is everybody on? We’re on the 9.46

Bit of a long shot. But is anyone willing to swap 2 tickets in the stand behind goals (bigger allocation one) for two tickets in the side stand?
Note - I’d like the ones behind the goal as a big group of us going together but 2 have only managed to get the second allocation tickets.

If all this Fane nonsense is true, then it looks as though AL is continuing the usual OAFC tradition of back room f**k up.
Just what is needed at this time!
Have we swapped one clown for another?
Hang on. Fane could have been pulled from training for anything, you can’t go around presuming he’s been pulled based on performances.
He could have acted against a club policy it could be absolutely anything. Until we know let’s not presume AL is a fuck up and accept the decision taken for whatever reason.

You’re right BP. I was talking from a Charlton point of view... but as it happens, they’re practically certs for play offs now anyway.

He looked like Competitive Dad, trying a bit too hard against, "less mobile," opposition
Tbf, he was playing for a contract next year. When he’s been axed as manager he may be knocking on AL’s door for a playing contract.
-
Scunthorpe 1 up. But looking at the table, whatever the result it doesn’t really matter Charlton still need 1 point to guarantee and 3 points if they wanna get 5th, so they’ll be going for it whatever the outcome.

Still 2 spots?

Good point at first thought simply, a few of the lads I go with are all doing that. Going in the Charlton end...
But imagine Rochdale winning, Oldham losing and being there? Na fuck that.

Edit.. at least I don’t think it looks exactly like him. A lot of similarities though
