    We’d taken 7 from 9

    Won at Gillingham 1-0

Won at home v Bournemouth 1-0 pen

And 2-2 at Port Vale denied by a late equaliser.

Came from nowhere as did the 4-0 at Tranmere 3rd game of the season

How come the toxic atmosphere from so early in the game then? So strange. Cheers for info

  2. This has been brought up before and I went with 5-1 or 5-0 and got corrected to 4-0... memory fails me each time.

Agree it was a toxic and nasty atmosphere for Butcher. The team however was quite funny.. when they scored the 4th chants of “easy, easy, easy” and when they grabbed their 3rd “we want 4” never witnessed that since.

I was a young lad at the time.. anyone know our form going into that game for us to turn so quickly on them?

  3. Corney.... could have done much better, could have done much worse.

The long and slow stagnation of the club though has killed us. Feel if he had a reasonable opportunity to get out he should have sooner.

I hope and feel his promise to leave us in safe hands rings true...

    Looking forward to times ahead.

Echo the thoughts of others - keep youth teamers around the squad rather than selling at first opportunity, sell players at prices they’re worth and keep if the right offer doesn’t come in.

I think you've nailed it in the first paragraph..

Dieng is a league 1 player no matter the position. The fact he can do a job in 2 positions should see him have a steady career at this level.

I'm not sure he's been catching at Bradford for a while has he? Has he had injuries?

Yeah, don’t think his games fast enough for the level up.

Injuries last season, this season he’s just come back from injury but a change in the way they play has left him out the squad. I probably wouldn’t have him in our starting XI as it happens, when all our players are registered.

  5. I think he’s a very solid CM or CB for this division. Not gonna get a sniff at CB for Bradford though as they’ve two very strong players there.

Maybe slight exaggeration woth class, but he’s got enough about him to be in the better teams of this divisions starting XI’s.

Agree on Fane though, although there’s an awful lot to work on but he seems like he’s definitely going to do that.

  6. Agree with the above post, keep bringing this (thread) to the attention of us every now and then, some might decide to set up couple of quid a month, some might make one off payments but I’m sure we’ll take notice.

Student currently so not much, but do appreciate the work you guys do on the site... i’ve just thrown a couple of coppers in aswell ??

Hamer has a great long throw.

I LOVE a long throw. It’s like having extra corners.

Extra corners. Great... how many have we scored from (directly) the past 5 seasons, must be single digits? I’ve stopped getting excited when we win a corner nowadays.

That said, I think we did actually score from one last night, we should be alright with Pringles delivery. ??

Tackling wasn't all he didn't do

    Fucking hell, the downboats!

I thought he was shit but, unlike many on here would, I'm not writing him off on the back of one bad game.

Hopefully he'll come good once he gets into the swing of it.

HB, downboat from me simply because I don’t he did anything the slightest bit close to being shit.

I mean, i think Banks and Green are shit... he was nowhere near there standard.

Dont be silly. He’s smaller than Byrne with probably half Byrne’s muscle mass.

He’d get dealt with on a weekly basis against some of the seasoned pros in this division.

Hahahahahhha that’s a brilliant joke. You are joking, aren’t you?

Phil Foden would get dealt with on a weekly basis? My god what am I reading.

  10. After a few emails sent to Mark Moisley at the start of last season, and then another Oldham represent this season... we eventually got them to start issuing HT drink orders? Is that not the case in the North Stand anymore? I wasn’t there yesterday but have been able to ever since the emails last season pretty much.

Like you say though... they definitely do not maximise match day revenue which in our position is ludicrous, awful business management.

    Against his former club too...

What odds him getting a goal in a high scoring win?

Wow. I didn’t know that - I could have named every other club he played for, but his 3 years at southend I have no recollection of. Albeit I was young but still strange I let it slip.
