I don't think you could say he hasn't had a fair crack of the whip. He has had one decent season in all the time he has been here. Don't quite get the love in and wouldn't be too sorry. Agree he has a bit of something but still too lightweight and inconsistent for me.

Thought the questioners put over what we all wanted to say; why not more expansive, why so few shots, why no big striker, why no big centre back? Were we really going to get specific answers to those questions? No, but they are certainly aware of what the fans think now so well done to the callers. This site seems to be for all the moaners now, is it not cool to be bit positive any more? where are the happy clappers?

Absolutely loads of people. There are also some who dont want the :censored: but are trying to block the :censored: out and back the squad.

For a more realistic opinion I think you should canvass opinion at the next away game.

I always value the opinion of someone who can articulately put over their point in a clever, insightful manner. Good work, pleasure to read.

The knives are out for DK already I was pissed when he was appointed but we've got to give this guy a chance, I feel for him when that first defeat comes, first two games a win and a draw and some people are already complaining, yes it wasent the best preformance but we had some good spells and did get lucky on occasions that's football, at the end of the day the result reads Oldham 1-0 Fleetwood its 3 pts for us and 0 for them you don't lose pts for being the poorer side, onto Colchester were hopefully we can improve on the fleetwood game and pick up another 3pts. Forte back on the wing Philly and Turner up front please !

Not true, the players and overall performance are being criticised but nobody has particularly pointed the finger at Kelly. I think more fans are willing to givehim a chance than is claimed on this board.

Can't see Dunn starting. Not fit enough. Yes DK needs a win but I think the team we have + Dunn for 30 minutes or so for additional fitness should be able to see Fleetwood off...

 

Not a fan of the winchester at RB idea, he shone last season either out wide and through the middle. No point moving him after 2 games (1 being against the best team in the championship) when we also have connor brown is more than adequate for RB in most games.

 

I think in an ideal world Kelly would ship Wilson off, bring in a loan RB and have him and Connor fight for the spot. Think the criticism on Wilson has been a bit harsh at times (weakest link yes, but he seems to be blamed for everything including having 3 Mboro players on 1 which lead to their 2nd goal...).

 

The only problem I can see with us not being able to ship Wilson off must be his wage...Imagine he's on decent cash to bin off being Captain of Colchester to come back up north after being their years.

 

Unless DK is suddenly a fan of B Wilson...

Agree re harsh treatment of Wilson, why have a new boo boy at the start of a season where once again we have a degree of optimism. Get off his back and support him, there is a decent proven player there.

Actually it was really noticeable during the womens World Cup matches (I know....sorry) that the commentators felt they had to speak incessantly for the full match and there were no silences. Even MOTD was like that on Sat. Can commentators not just leave us to watch for a moment or two without stating obvious and useless things simply to fill in the gaps.

What I would say though is that the quality and experience of our bench against their's was apparent, there were some very players warming up for Walsall whereas our experience coming on got us a point. I enjoyed the game today.

I never heard Darren Kelly booed? His name was sung and he was clapped off at the end.

Wilson was useless. Got skinned by their winger and was crap on the ball. Mills wasn't great on the other side but I thought it was quite clear Wilson was our poorest player today, don't you think?

1. The constant criticism of Brian Wilson on here, he' s a decent league one full back, no more than that.

Bit harsh on Wilson B that, I thought Turner was the only one who didn't turn up today, couldn't get into the game. Burn looks very good on that showing.

Can't we all get over this interview analysis, he interviews as well as the average manager, not as good as some but better than others. All this judgement and assumption based on the odd two minute is just a nonsense.

Let's not forget that the players must also take responsibility for (and pride in) their personal performances in order to produce an effective team performance. The manager has limited impact once the game starts and you can bet he will pick the starting team that the majority of us would go with. Granted that the prep an formation will be down to Kelly but the players have to step up to make this work.
