  1. https://www.theoldhamtimes.co.uk/sport/23260412.cheltenham-midfielder-chapman-extends-oldham-athletic-loan/ That's a tough read, bloody hell.
  2. There's potential in Vaughan. I remember him coming on this season and impressing. He actually got on the ball and ran at the opposition. That's nothing spectacular, of course, but it's better than what most of our midfielders have done this season. I'm not opposed to Vaughan going out on loan, but is he the worst of what we've currently got? I don't think so. Time will tell. I just don't want us to waste his talent when there's clearly something there.
  3. Agreed. The Internet/Social Media feels like it has gone worse since the introduction of Smartphones. It felt fairly peaceful before that. I just think people care far too much about their online persona and they seem to forget that real life is a lot different to online.
  4. I absolutely agree. However, I'd say this is a lot better than the #oafc hashtag. I joined up to Twitter once solely to post Oldham Athletic stuff. I had to come off. So toxic. Saying that, Twitter as a whole is toxic.
  5. I'm starting to think these people who want Unsworth to stay don't even go to the games. We're so depressing and predictable to watch.
  6. So how much longer do we have to be content with shite then?
  7. We're 20th out of 24 teams. Just lost in the cup against a team directly below us who have won four all season. How many games do you give him to get it right then?
  8. Am I ok? Yeah, I'm fine. I'm not saying we WANT a toxic atmosphere. The fans try to get behind the team every single home game. However, as this season has gone on, less and less people are joining in. Our songs just fizzle out quickly or struggle to get started. I'm not saying fans will be going with the sole intention of being toxic.
  9. Why are people against it getting toxic on Saturday? People show displeasure in different ways. I don't boo the players or staff. I used to, but I'm over it. However, if people want to do it, it's up to them. The fact of the matter is that we are shit. We're shit yet again when things are supposed to be getting better. He has had the funding. He has had the backing. However, there's no indication of what football he wants us playing. Toxic or not, we really do need to put in a good solid performance on Saturday.
  10. Who actually initially reported that? Is there any truth in it?
  11. Taking into consideration the tough times people are going through right now in terms of the cost of living, if Unsworth is still here next season, how many of our current season ticket holders will renew? I don't understand what kind of Football he wants to play. I don't understand the way he comes across. I just don't think he's the right man for the job. He seems way out of his depth, as shown by his team management, his interviews, and how much he tends to avoid post match interviews. Saying all that, a win against Southend would be superb.
  12. There's no connection between Unsworth and the fans. I don't know if that's just me thinking it because of how close we were to Sheridan.
  13. He's left the cold and wet Boundary Park, picked up a Chippy tea and gone home hasn't he? Shithouse.
  14. I want to like him. I don't go out on the sole purpose of disliking people. I just get really off vibes about him.
  15. I might be the d*ck head by thinking this, but why does he come across as so unlikeable and distant? I can't believe he's still in charge.
  16. Tarky looking at another relegation battle, while his former club Burnley are looking good in the Championship.
  17. I don't have any faith in Unsworth's tactical awareness and the ability to get the best out of our players. That being said, I like that we've extended Abraham's loan.
  18. Dave Penney or David Unsworth, who's worse?
  19. Even when we won against Torquay, I could see major flaws in how the team was set up. Huge gaps in the defence and midfield appeared at various points of the game. All throughout his tenure here, it has been so easy for opposing sides just to walk right through us. There's nothing wrong with acquiring firepower and improving attacking options. However, when there's no structure, stability, and tactical awareness, then it's absolutely pointless having those options. I don't see where Fondop or Abraham fits into this team anymore. Mind you, I don't understand where any of the attacking players fit. I don't understand what Unsworth is doing with them. Unsworth is weird, clueless, out of his depth, and doesn't seem bothered about forming a bond with the fans. I know some people don't think he owes the fans anything, but I think it counts for a lot. I can't see us going on a winning streak or an unbeaten run, with him in charge. That is what we need to get out of the mess we're in. Get someone else in. This guy really hasn't got a clue.
  20. We have more than enough firepower to get us up that table. It's just our defence and midfield that concerns me. A win against Gateshead would be lovely.
  21. Was it? I thought it was about Nuttall. To be honest, I didn't even know we went in for Matt Smith.
