  1. I think this just shows what kind of player we will be attracting over the next 2 months or able to sign anyway.... I am not casting dispersions over the new signing but if he wasn't deemed good enough to play for Sheff Utd in our division why do we feel he is? Please prove me wrong!
  2. You know what for so called latics fans u lot on here do my head in Negative people should be shot end of!!!
  3. The last time i can remember 3 strikers scoring in the same game is and ive had a drink is Wynhard, Corazzin and Andrews but i maybe wrong. Alot of spelling mistakes i know
  4. Is it me or is there something about this team Dickov's built that gives up us all hope. Today we did something we are not reknown for and that's losing at half time and winning at full time, maybe the half time talks have changed and judging by the posts on twitter there seems to be a unity and bond within the squad which is obviously evident on the pitch. Next week is a big test of this squads capabilities but the signs are looking good. Is it too soon to think above our stations, but the way the results in our division have gone in the last 14 days who knows?
  5. Cant have been that ill still made his regular appearance in Tokyo's.
  6. Happy with Lund and Wesolowski in the middle good win today!
  7. Of 3 points today..... We are playing a Yeovil very much in the middle of a transition period 14 summer signings needing to gel. There have been a few signs of us playing decent football. Todays the day....come on Oldham!!!!
  8. Out of the 4 names Cornish Blue mentioned i would take either Howard or Bent.
  9. Didnt Brett Ormerod start for Blackpool against Hull on Friday?
  10. Any more on this elusive striker? Surely any announcement today would mean he would be unavailable for tonights game?
  11. Right thats pre season out of the way and the real stuff is less than 7 days away but something which is grating on me and i am sorry to sound unsupportive but the lack of goals in pre season is there for all to see. We have possibly unearthed a gem in Matt Smith but we cant hope he is going to get 20 odd goals in his 1st season as a pro. Reuben Reid for all the talent he has doesnt smack of a prolific goalscorer, Feeney hopefully is off , Brooke just doesnt seem to have a big role in him. Where does that leave us, as time has proved Taylor will chip in and i expect Morais to score a few but the backbone of any team who has got out of this league is having 2 strikers who chip in with 15-20 goals each, e.g Murray and Barnes @ Brighton, McClean and Mackail-Smith @ Peterborough and so on and son. With Feeney possibly going maybe this STAR STRIKER will finally arrive, and if Reid and Smith can manage 15 between them then maybe we have a chance of a decent season ahead of us. The sweet side of this post is it looks like we have finally unearthed a centre half parnership to rival past greats like Barratt and Jobson, cleansheets on Tuesday and Today as well as a centre half chipping in with a goal at least there seems to be some rock solidness to our back 4. Hopefully a few new faces in the next 6 days will see some depth added to the squad and that elusive star striker will sign and i will be one happy hopeful fan. Keep The Faith
  12. He scored against Mossley all he did to be fair.
  13. I see Feeney has received some more well wishes on Twitter ;)
  14. I would have him back in an instance hope the messenger is correct!!
  15. Euan Holden brother of the Bolton player Stuart Holden is likely to be one of them ive been told even though he had a stinker today.
  16. He has just missed a sitter has the soon to be prolific Feeney
  17. If anybody is going today to Barrow maybe they could share the information and identity of the trialists?
  18. Finally i dont think in this day and age no player is out of reach, and the closer it gets to the season starting the better position PD and co are in to neogotiate, just a thought.
  19. Some people obviously dont read what the club releases in the media the club in the last fortnight OAFC have received in excess of £330k in transfers whichthe club have repeatedly said any income received from the sale of players will be pumped into THIS seasons playing budget, so why cant have Oldham compete with Stockport for Ryan Lowe and again today somebody with links to club has stated the club are in talks with Bury over one of their players and as for Lowe being too old not a problem in my book when we have Brooke and Reid in reserve, and id rather the club spend money on someone who has scored over 120 goals in his career rather than a mercenary who relies on his past clubs CV in neogiating terms who finds double figures hard to come by.
  20. I have been very reliably informed the STAR striker is Ryan Lowe of Bury and a deal is very close to being completed. Certainly knows where the onion bag is. Regards
