Didnt need to score against us, ruined us at home last year with his movement, pace and strength allowing there midfielders to run off ours both home and away. Sometimes a striker doesnt need to score to earn his team a win, oh how i wish we got him when he left Crewe.

Attention seeking i think not....just my opinion i could put a big sophisticated piece where he has gone wrong and how he could improve but i thought to myself as i started tryping last night why should i, all PD does these days is argue with the 4th official, he isnt some master tactician making changes, he made changes only after the fans became disgruntled and i know for a FACT he reads this forum, he is pig headed and talks the talk but his record most certainly doesnt walk the walk, should any other team come him for i would gladly piggy back him wherever he is wanted. Probably just as equally fed up as me, thing is i can see through talk the talk salesman which is what Dickov is, would be a great Sales Manager, as for a tactitian or man manager very naive and rarely learns from his mistakes, enoughs enough, absolutely unheard of a rookie manager being given the amount of games he has had.... The difference between Harbin and Butler is simple, Harbin was a strict displinarian with a background in teaching and commanded respect, Butler seems to be one of the boys who has over time developed his role to be a silent assistant manager, on many occassions i have seen Dickov speak to Butler before making changes without even consulting Taggart, plus Dickov picks Butler up every morning, and is probably so far up his arse he doesnt know where Dickov starts and he ends, overall though if i was him i would be embarrassed at how easily we fold in the final quarter of most games, Sheff Weds this season a prime example and how much we switch off after half time, again in his sports science background its down to him to find a way to keep the players focused while PD offers tactical advice.

And i mean that in all competitions, on paper got a very good squad but there just not producing... Saying that on paper/stats my missus sounds like she could be a model

I have more expectations of Portsmouth's nightlife than i do of this game... So disillushoned its unreal.

I think with our current squad were capable of winning 65% of our matches BUT we have a management team INCAPABLE of making this squad produce the results, whether its because the players have become disillushioned with the management and therefore he has lost there backing, which for me needs changing RAPIDLY!!!

I think after reading what SC has said i would say Paul Butler (who in my eyes is really Dickov's Number 2) is on his last stand at the club, and he is right we dont look fit physically or mentally how many times do we switch immediately after half time, people question just what Dickov says but i think comes down to the players concentration levels which goes hand in hand with fitness levels, oh to have the days of John Harbin as our fitness guru!!

My mates Dad scouts the lower leagues for many teams including Oldham and he watched Vardy for 3 months and begged Oldham to give him a chance and time.. Dickov and Taggart both watched him 3 times, to report back to my mates Dad "nothing out of the ordinary, wont make it"

Right i personally think enough is enough yes ok were only 3 games into the season BUT this is ultimately Dickov's squad Furman aside he has had a 3rd pre season (unheard of for 1st time managers) to work on things and bring in the players he feels will do a job. Granted he performed minor miracles keeping us up on a shoestring budget and inheriting a piss poor squad from Dave Penney, but i have seen enough now to realise tactically is very naeive and doesnt seem to learn from his mistakes, vocally pitch side he seems to spend more time harrassing the 4th official and is very petulant at times. His constant use of loanee's rather than using players he has SIGNED hasnt worked and wont continue to work, why spend all summer saying Dan Taylor was a very good signing for the club only to not play him. To top it all the way he set us up to play yesterday was strange to say the least and was at times a 4-6-0 formation as Robbie Simpson isnt a an out an out forward who can hold the ball up, he needs to play off a target man or a forward with pace, also how Dickov hasnt come down on him for his attitude in all 3 games is beyond me, as a player who was an ankle snapper on the pitch it seems to me he is very subdued off it and rather than take infomation on he seems to rely on Paul Butler pitchside more than Gerry Taggart. He says the right thinks to the media and portrays himself as someone who knows his onions but this isnt being translated on the pitch and hasnt for the last 6 months, as we traditionally finish seasons very poorly under him a bad start to the season could be the first nails in our coffin. All in all i think its time for change as we have 2 games now where we will be strong underdogs and if we lose both we could already start to tail off in the bottom 4.
