  1. Absoltely ridiculous for him to get involved in an argument that yet again wasn't his and to pull the headbutt within a few feet of the ref he got all he deserved and he certainly owes the rest of the lads a major apology for putting them all under that kind of pressure unneccessarily. Straight red so 3 game ban and hopefully big fine from the club to go with it. Not a lot of cohesion after the tinkering with players and formation and for the most we were second best Smalley Taylor and later Allessandra the main threats while Hughes was a solid performer all round big let off tonight but that said 2 cases of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat so some silver lining there
  2. Prem - Redd Soxx Champs - Brum L1 - Dirty Leeds L2 - Port Vale
  3. Had the pleasure of metting Hughsey about a fortnight ago. His outlook on the game and Latics as a club are much the same as 99% of our forums members. He is very grateful to the club for the chance we've taken and is very highly motivated in seeing the job out he's begun with us. He was very appreciative of the support of both the club and the fans and is as desperate as we are to make promotion a realistic target. Sadly at the time he was hoping to be back in time for Yeovil and as we all know he still aint out there so injury obviously worse than first thought. Came across as a real good lad and says we're still to see his best so that said opposition defences are in for a nightmare season and a half as he also says he's no intention of moving on he came with a plan in mind and that was promotion and he's confident it will be achieved. Yes he's had injury problems but those aside we've had a hell of a return in other ways. Time spent by our youthful strikers with a striker of his proven ability is a bonus maybe not immediately but a year or 2 down the line every other manager in our division ( and even some from the division above ) would love the fella in their squad so bout time we thanked our blessings that we've got a player of his ability who's more than prepared to get his head down and give us what we crave so much SUCCESS !!!
  4. Poor Bu**ers are probably knackered trying to patch up a weakened squad and decided that 24 hours in a day just isn't enough to keep up and have collapsed into a heap under the strain. Sorry 48 hrs a day aint enough between them ! Things really have been that bad on the injury front this season and the 2 lads have decided they just can't cope anymore. On the subject of David Roberts and assoc can not recommend them highly enough had a back condition that 5 years of NHS treatment didn't work yet the good fella's at Dave Roberts had it sorted in 8 weeks and never had a reccurrence yet. A good physio is as important as a good striker so given the track record on that front probably best not hold our breaths eh over
  5. Keigan Parker anyone ???? http://www.oldhamathletic.premiumtv.co.uk/...1230509,00.html
  6. Not due back at BP till 02/02/08 signed 3 month deal on 2/11/07. Hopefully between now and then we'll receive a small fee and say goodbye to him and the en tire situation. No-one will disclose the full events of the time leading up to his quickfire departure but as has been said over and over ad nauseum no one man should ever be allowed to affect team morale as we are led to believe and so NO return seems the only logical outcome.
  7. Looks like Steve Brooker off to Cheltenham on loan http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/WTPSDetail/0,,1...1209230,00.html
  8. Not that bad ! Full house guaranteed and we get to knock the Udders out too save the big guns for round 5
  9. No big deal we want lads proud to grace the blue and white and if they'd rather be elsewhere then there loss ! Had all this heated debate on the back of P~*ter going and look at the gem (Hughes) we've now got in his place !!!! We offered the lad the best we could if not good enough TOUGH move on which he has. Shez has been expecting this if he's honest and is already putting the effort in to replace him so let's do as we usaully do TRUST him and his instincts cause at the end of the day the lad ain't done us wrong so far. Goodbye to Kilkenny and may you enjoy counting your dosh aint gonna call you for doin what 99.99% of the population would have done in your shoes. Sod em all who dont wanna stay rather have a team full of kids proud to play and fighting for a place than a team of half baked prima donnas turning out performances when the wind blows in the right direction and the moon is in the 7th house of Jupiter or other equally p~ss poor situations. All for Shez and Shez for all onwards and upwards without the driftwood and make the Scousers pay tomorrow
  10. Ian 'Bloody' Olney loads a dough for nowt much at all !!! We was robbed !!!!!!
  11. Could we not adopt House of Pain - Jump Around it's got it all . Short sweet and to the point - "get out ya seat and JUMP AROUND"
  12. It's Nick Chadwick, But that is a friend of a friend has seen him at BP this morning. Dont take it as red. This is the take of S_L_C on 'the other board'
  13. Could the option not already be under our noses in the form of Glombard ??? In the few games he appeared in he seemed to create a presence and look to dominate the defenders and provide a bit of muscle whih we were sadly lacking on occasion. Could be a 'cheaper option' now we appear to be being relieved of the Porter money and the restrictions that may bring.
  14. Cheers Exile ! Thanks for the add Lads and Lasses Onwards and Upwards
