The trust has not even begun to debate whether it should be trying to purchase the ground so don’t hold your breath.
Granted we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes with blitz etc but it baffles me that the trust has not asked fans whether it should be looking to raise funds to buy the ground, club or both (in part or full).
Agreed.
It all baffles me. Surely trying to buy the ground and the North stand would make the most sense as the money buys and asset rather then a badge. If the club goes bump the Phoenix club has a safe home.

Nobody will be able to purchase the ground whilst there is dispute and potential legal case.
That shouldn't stop us as a fans co-op purchasing it, as long as we are prepared to take the risk. It should bring the price down as we would be taking the risk on.
The council should be happy because the community would now own the new stand that they contributed to building, hence the risk goes away.

Could the trust not go to Blitz and ask for a realist price for the ground etc. If we could have one, I’m sure there are a good few fans who would invest in their share of the ground. If we owned the ground as fans, there would be a bit more security against the club disappearing if we are relegated.

You can do one-off pledges rather than commit to monthly payments.
I understand that, but I was suggesting something extra/new. Something that would actually encourage me to donate.
Also it would offer proof of the number of fans boycotting. Proof of the number of fans refusing to give the present owner any money.

Could we have something on the new OASF website which allows us to quickly deposit “ticket” money which we would otherwise have given to the club. A dedicated and easy to find (pop up maybe) link to buy your “not” match ticket.
I think those of us who are boycotting and would otherwise be at the match may be happy to pop that money in the “fund” every fortnight. Make it interesting by showing the total amount donated for each match.
(PS. It would be a wind up for Mo to see how much money they are not receiving at the turnstiles )

For Michael Beach to be promoted to Operations Manager from Club Secretary and then just disappear from the club list of officials with no mention of a “thank you for all your hard work” is a bit strange to say the least. Do we think he has walked or fallen out and been sacked?

Heck of an assumption.
Physios move on . Career progression etc
When Jimmy McGregor left from being Latics’ physio to go to Old Trafford was that down to “relationships “?
It is a key role , but I’d want to know for certain why it’s becoming vacant rather than jump to your conclusion.
Is it such a big assumption? One of our 2 physios from last year up and leaves to go to Blackpool as second physio, so the only "career progression" is a different club at similar level. The Doctor who has been there 30 years leaves, I'm guessing not to a "career progression" and our present head of Physiotherapy, so you don't go upwards from that, leaves to take another job, probably at a different club, ie one which will treat him better.
I think the assumption was a reasonable one.

More important is the head physio vacancy. Tends to suggest things are not going well in the medical room. That won’t be due to the work, it is more likely to be the relationships.

Or maybe he needed to be paid more to take the risk of being unhappy at Oldham. In fact 10% more then that because it was his second time!

I've just applied for the Club Doctor position....I have absolutely no medical qualifications whatsoever but seeing as Mo is the Director of Football I see no reason why that should exclude me
If you will do it for free, then you can have the job, not worried about your qualifications,

Not updated this for a while, but not seen announced elsewhere.
Looks like Assistant CoachPaul Butler has left, addition of a First TEam Coach position, and a merging of the Medical and Physio positions. Possibly part of cost savings previosuly highlighted. With previous Had Physio in charge of combined operation.

There is little doubt for me that a defence that features Kyle Jameson, Carl Piergianni and Raphael Diarra would be massively strengthened by Wheater (even after 10 months without football). But, it has dragged on for far too long and would be in everyone's best interests if another league club took over his contract until the end of the season...
I agree totally. Wouldn’t that be easier to achieve if he could prove he was fit by playing. After all, oldham is still paying for him, why not use him.
Is it just AL’s pride getting it the way of a place in the March day squad?

I don’t think it’s players who have something to offer, it’s players who say no or challenge him. He has proved he has no ability to see the bigger picture and will cut his nose off to spite his face. It wouldn’t surprise if part of AL’s anger is his own decision in giving him a fat contract. But he has a habit of not knowing what he’s paying for. He’s clearly very authoritarian, but as a punter his style doesn’t really concern me- winning football matches does. And in pure footballing terms there is no proof Wheater would make any huge difference.
How can there be proof when you are speculating, however most would agree a fit Wheater even at the end of his career, would be our best defender. We have a terrible goals against for the season, but most game scores have been close enough that one goal less conceded would have given us points. I firmly believe Wheater playing since the start of the season would have given us 4 or 5 points, and possibly more.
It is the owners pride which is costing us an interest in promotion this season. (There has been enough leaked for us to know HK has been banned from playing him). Now we just have a nothing football season in the middle of one of the worst years of our lives.

Don't think there is any suggestion it was a bite is there? Just an unfortunate mouth/knee collision
I would be identified as an accidental bite, so as to show the extra risk of infection from an injury caused by a tooth.

I'm sorry to say that sort of injury happens more than you might think in football.
Really??
Accidental bites maybe happen fairly frequently, but for broken off teeth to lodge in the wound! That is rare!

When AL buys shit players, sacks mangers every two minutes and ostracises big earners - it pisses me off.
When he sacks an MD and replaces her- I couldn’t care less.
Incredibly short sighted that attitude. Just before the first game of the season where the old MD has been making plans to deal with all the massive changed brought in by Covid, you let her go and replace her with someone who needs to read all that and catch up with the plan and deal with the problems all within 2days . Well let’s hope he is on the ball.
I personally need to speak to him today to sort something out which could call the game off. I hope he finds time to take my call and resolves it.
