    They haven't killed, people seem to be forgetting this when they compare Hughes to every other footballer, MP and celeb who's had time in prison.

    I've just heard a little from Owen on talkSPORT news headlines, I would like to see our stewards try and kick out people who abuse Hughes, will that include players?

    I didn't hear Owen this morning, but in previous interviewed he's said he didn't want to talk about the morals of the signing, when the fact is that is what this whole argument is about.

    I agree with BB80's comment about Peados, I raised this point when he signed, where do you draw the line; Hard drug taker? Convicted rapist? Child porn viewer? Would you take any of the above if they were former Premiership goalscorers and had served what the parole board (tbf, Hughes hasn't served nearly enough) deem fit? How far will you go to see your club do well?

    Why are they talking rubbish, because they don't agree with you? And Woodgate wasn't convicted of anything to do with race, it was only affray, Adams was done for drink driving and took him alot longer to turn it around. Neither was at fault for killing someone, theres a big difference.

    I'll give you a more likely scenario, he comes in, disrupts the team spirit giving it the big 'I AM'. isn't up to playing in the league yet pressure from above forces Shez to involve him (can't be seen to be a duff move now can it?), he doesn't score many goals gets wound up by opposing fans and players, gets sent off and doesn't see past Christmas. Not such a good move now is it?

    3 shows/phone-ins on talkSPORT devoted to the subject when it was first announced, shows on 5live, club officials coming across poorly when interviewed, national newspapers, add to that the negative press when he first turns up for training, gets his first red card (how will that effect his parole conditions if he's sent of for violet conduct?), scores his first goal. Shez has done well to stay reasonably quiet on Hughes.

    Why not? I'll go on record now and say I hope this whole thing falls flat on it's face, Hughes is gone by Christmas and the people involved with bringing him here (Mainly Mr Owen) are suitably embarrassed in what has been a PR disaster for the club.

    Yeah because i'm clearly the only person to have a problem with someone like Lee Hughes at my club.

    One team that reaches the play offs always struggles the next season, we might be a stronger squad this season but we're not as talanted with question marks hanging over our two main strikers.

    I agree with Stevie, very petty and we seem to making a habit of spitting our dummy out, Porter and his agent have done nothing against the rules. They can't moan about Porter saying he wants to stay when they told the very same thing to Warne.
