From the official website:
"Supporters who wish to claim a refund on their match or coach ticket can do so in the following ways,.
If you have ordered online but have not collected your ticket, email supporter.services@oldhamathletic.co.uk by 4pm on Tuesday 23 April and your refund will be processed in 10 working days.
If you have already collected your ticket, please return your complete match ticket to the Latics Ticket Office by 4pm on Tuesday 23 April. The full ticket must be returned as proof of purchase.
Any refund for a coach seat must be claimed by using the email address above or in person by 4pm on Wednesday 17 April."
Piss take that the club expects that. I simply can’t get to the club to give them my ticket. They need to look at that.
I’ve got no intention of claiming a refund and then going to the ground on a Thursday night to watch an Oldham team that has given up.

That's fine if they recognise you might be a couple of months before you can present your ticket.
Can I charge them interest ?
Just process the refund and be done with it. The whole thing has been an utter fuck up.

Regarding Halifax refunds, has anyone got a reply back from the ‘supporter.services’ email black hole?
Nope. But a mate of mine has been advised he needs to take his physical ticket back to the ticket office in order for the refund to be processed. Which is clearly idiotic, given the shambles.
I will wait for my reply. I’m certainly not driving a two hour round trip for the privilege of my money back.

Mellon would look pretty silly offering anyone an extension in my opinion. He’s just said in his interview that the board need to support him getting players out the door. To then offer certain players a deal would be the complete opposite of what he’s requested.
Everyone out of contract should be released, no extensions required.

If McGahey gets another contract….
Green is the only one I’d keep, as we need width. But I’ve gone release all so we can sign new players.

Ah…I see, that must be why he’s given him an 18 month deal then?
Well he can’t get in a match day squad that contains a 28 year old centre back and a central midfielder who can’t pass a ball.
So he’s currently about 6th choice in a midfield that’s weak as piss.

Does he? Recently, there was only me saying they don't see the hype with him - loads were waxing lyrical about him...
I’ve said he’s shite from his first sub appearance. Looks like Micky agrees.
-
Release them all. If Mellon any his own players, he also needs to make room. Get rid of about 5 under contract and that’s enough to bring in the 4/5 quality players we need.

I don't get any ads, is it because I contribute financially ?
Yes

If Sheron stays I give up. Me and my mates ran the marathon today and can lunge into tackles and not pass a football. Can we have his number ?

DR told us how it works- I think it was on the pod.
It’s a vast database that allows you to quickly identify a position without needing to rely on scouting in the first instance.
The club use it to generate a pool of possibilities and then the manager decides from that pool. (I’m presuming they then scout before the final decision)
Mellon has said umpteen times- I know what a good player looks like. He keeps repeating it. He specifically said on Saturday- I know what a good player looks like, and I know where they are. The inference is he doesn’t want to choose from a pool. He wants his picks only.
If we look at the last 18 months, it’s unbelievable how we’ve ended up here.
Stats bomb can’t identify a right back.
It only generates centre halves and strikers.
Or
It’s only been used for some players and not others- (could explain the tension between ST and Unsy) and that’s why we’re left with multiple players in some positions and the bare bones or none in others.
The biggest learning lesson in the summer is this- Mellon and the board have to agree on the recruitment. Either back him to get who he wants, or get a head coach that will work within what the club wants to do. Because at the minute it looks like everyone is pulling in different directions.
If that’s true, never use stats bomb again to lead recruitment and let Mellon have control. It can’t get any worse.. the man is absolutely raging.

I get the impression players don't like his turgid tactics so just hoof the ball anyway.
These players arnt capable of
passing the spherical ball.

Mellon really isn’t the issue

Can’t argue with the interview. Some of these players are robbing a living and he knows it.
Sounded like a cry to the board to support him and get these players out, or he’s off.
Oh, well done to the fans who turned on Norwood today, well done.

But that's not a reflection on the fans is it. See I kind of detach myself from My football clubs underachievement as I know it's not my fault or your fault or any other of the supporters fault.
To be perfectly honest I just want this season to be done so we can press the reset button. Looking at the lack of activity on this thread alot of other people do too. I know we say that almost every year but I do feel that this year unlike most of the last 15 or so is one where we are in a position to put right what went on this season.
Say this every season. We need to stop making excuses and demand more.

I mean sometimes it's good to get it out the system
But at the end of the day while the current playing staff need to take responsibility for the fall off in form in the last 2 months they are still human beings. They are peoples sons, and brothers some of them are Husbands and Dads to people. We forget that sometimes. It's not like they have intentionally gone out there and tried to lose.
I'm sure they are honest they could have done more but I'm not going to hate these players it's wasted energy and I actually feel sorry for people who do. There are bigger problems in the world.
I get what you are saying and course there are bigger problems, that goes without saying.
But to me, as sad as it may seem, OAFC is one of the biggest things in my life and is my greatest passion.
So them feeling they could and maybe should have done better, doesn't cut it for me. They should be going out to with every single game, giving their all every single second.

However unlikely it may be we can still make the playoffs.
If we fail to beat already relegated Oxford tomorrow serious questions need asking.
We need to win and we bloody well better had!
Taking my mate tomorrow who’s gone 26 games without an away win.
I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
-
Called the ticket office. You can pick up at the turnstile.
-
If we had beaten Rochdale, we would have been in with a decent chance. But we didn’t.
-
Can’t get to the ticket office to pick up my ticket. Anyone know if the club will take them down to Oxford and we can pick up at the ground ?
-
Gateshead called off the game v Aldershot at 7:25! This league really is a piss take.

This can’t be put on OAFC.
Halifax however… I have zero knowledge on pitch recovery times, but even an idiot can see this game was never being played at Halifax. Two days ago…

Gardner is trying to put his usual decent half a dozen games in to bluff another contract.
I’ve got huge respect for Gardner after these last few games. He’s always been the best midfielder at the club, but he’s single handily tried to drag us through these last few games since Chesterfield.
Shame he’s the only source of creativity at the club.

Micky Mellon's Retained and Released List

Yep he’s been absolutely crap when playing for us.
Unsworth continuing to bring him on as a sub in central midfield when Harry Vaughan was an option remains the most puzzling decision by a manager.
Couto could be a cheap back up, nothing more from what I have seen.
