  1. Agree with much of that , but can't argue with some of the quality of football in prem, eg last day of last season, incredible drama and that's why millions love it
  2. Happy Xmas !! Maybe we ll get out of this league in 2013 . . .
  3. I remember Redmond wearing no 7 at villa park, hooking a goal bound effort off the line, was meant to be for us that day
  4. what a watch!! ive still got the video of the great escape, watch it every now and then, neil adams was an absolute hero on the run in, but my favourite game was wimbledon 6-2, couple of corkers from olney, great days!!!!
  5. Ok , so dickovs selections. . . Simpson in centre mid, Baxter and smith as a front 2 , constant selection of woefully out of form players, ala montano, use the squad is all I'm saying ffs, sometimes throwing a curveball can work, mellor at scunny last year for example , we have just been dicked by Yeovil , time for a change in personel.
  6. Not seen much in changy tbh, bit headless at times , the fact that wabara is on loan is neither here nor there, better player IMO,capable of doing a job in there . Maybe deano takes more grief as he is CLUB CAPTAIN , and fans and players alike look to there skipper in dire times
  7. Not slating him, but something's gotta give, after he lost his place last time he came back fighting, that's what I would like to see again. Not saying it's ideal but we need something different , more energy, less fear so I thunk wabara may be worth a shout , clutching at straws ? Possibly , but we can't send out yesterday's 11 again, and note I also think montano and mvoto should be benched, not just furman
  8. My main point which you may have missed is it can't be much worse can it, players need a kick up the arse, please tell me you wouldn't stick with a team that got battered 4 1 at YEOVIL ?
  9. Yep, sure would, wabara has the ability and energy to play in there, taylors scoring in the ressies, who would you play up top oh wise one ? Stick with the same 11 for a few weeks til they can be arsed to play again ???
  10. Drop montano for a start, and furman, they are simply not producing enough to warrant a start. I know others fall into that category, I'd also give mvoto a taste of the bench , how's about this line up. . Boozy Brown Byrne Tarky Grounds Wabara Wesolowski Croft Baxter Hughes Taylor Mellor n Winchester given a chance from the bench, ahead of furman montano Simmo etc, if they won't fight for a place get rid in jan. Ok it's not the strongest on paper but look where having that has got us , a relegation scrap !
  11. The main reason people have backed him this long is an undoubted ability to attract a higher calibre of player to the club, mixed with some fantastic occasional performances. You look at the team on paper and think "surely" they ll click, and every time they do it buys dickov a few weeks whilst the usual dross is served . However clearly there are many times where these players couldn't give a :censored: , yep some will have off days, but not as many as us, and that falls on the manager, as does tactics so dated and easy to play against, classic example as mentioned in another post, playing smith with no one to chase his flick ons , that's all he offers, so a totally inept choice. Why doesn't he play the squad players when the 1st 11 are so :censored:e, there's no fear of losing the jersey , and no motivation for squad players. Finally change this rigid 4 across the middle , more often than not the central pair are overran and the wingers unable to get into the game , why not try 3 in the middle , tighten it up , with 3 up top? Probably coz the squad is so set up for 442 that we don't have the right type of players. Fed up !
  12. i really liked whitaker for a month, then spent the next 9 despising the work shy, scared of his own shadow, no passion, no pride in the shirt little rat. so, yep he d fit right into this squad!!
  13. furman and wesolowski are not similair players to wellens in the slightest
  14. mmm, simpson as our targetman, running the channels, getting across defenders attacking the nearpost, holding the ball up , bringing others into play. gonna be a bleak few weeks i fear
  15. No chance then, i would have said the same about derbyshire......
  16. Why ? Total change of tactics to accommodate smith, Simmo can't play that role, and grounds has done ok in midfield, montano has pace and can run the channels , either way there needs to be some tinkering to make up for losing Derbyshire
  17. I'm pretty sure Hannah Montana has played as centre forward , could be an option, grounds left wing
  18. Diehards ! Suffered a lot so well done for the continued support
  19. Also dug out my dads old bovis shirt from 1990 cup final for the forest game, memories, what a day , enjoy the good times eh !
  20. Great result, great run of form, MD starts scoring just before his loan finishes !! Never get carried away with latics but delighted tonight , oh when the bbbblllluuuueeeeessss!!!!
  21. Doubt it , just obvious changes to make, I'm really against Simpson as a midfielder , totally out of place, mind you he looks like that wherever he's played this year , smith has been knocking at the door for sometime , and dean has been very patchy. PD is rightly or wrongly very confident in himself so I don't think he'd bow to fan preside re team selection.
  22. No worries if he does, we ll just throw an out of form forward in there and keep us fingers crossed . . .
  23. If by rigid you mean same formation, static players, sideways passing, slow counter attacks and no plan B despite having talented players, then the answer is YES
