Exactly, anyone who wanted one would have one by now. Most people are pretty reasonable about it, as I have said previously I won't know until Thursday if I can go or not, it is not the end of the world if there are none left.
It would be good if we had a city style points system or something, but end of the day we aren’t big enough of a club or pull in a big enough crowd week in week out, nor feature in big enough games to warrant doing something like this just for the sake of the odd FA cup run
Hopefully we will get more tickets from donny, then we can go from there

I'm currently doing mine at Lancaster fa brilliant course learning so much, gutted it wasn't Pete wild taking it but the tutor is brilliant all the same
Yeah ive heard they’re class! Really looking forward to doing it. I was going to do it through Lancashire FA but then started at Latics so obvs makes sense to use that as my way in

I wasn't going anyway but there will be regular matchgoers who miss out because people are greedy and take them for people who haven't been since the Bovis days.
At the end of the day though we are a ticket office, we have to sell tickets. We can’t sell to customers based on how long they’ve supported the club for or how many games they have or haven’t been to this season
It’s swings and roundabouts. If you wanted a ticket that bad then make sure you’re first to the ticket office or first to buy online. Unfortunately we can’t please everybody

Must admit I was surprised at how many each person could buy.
I'd hazard a guess the club have massively underestimated the demand.
We did to be fair but I think everyone did
regardless, we still would have done 4 per customer for the reasons I detailed to deyres above

So really the attitude is we don't care who we sell them to as long as we sell them quickly.
Should be 2 per person maximum, no exceptions.
We do care who we sell them to. Hence why we would sell 4 to a father of 3 who wants to go to the game with his 3 kids who are at school whilst he’s coming to the Ticket office to buy tickets before work
etc
etc
etc
We did 4 when on general sale for Fulham, why would we change that now?
everyone who wanted a ticket for Fulham got one
nobody knew that we would take this many to Doncaster. Even I couldn’t guess
two per person is stupid, especially when people work, are at school, and there’s no home game between now and the game.
Nobody else has complained?

Ignore him Billy. Most of us already do.
The vast majority of fans recognise the tough job the ticket office do well for big games.
I genuinely don’t know if he’s being serious or not. Don’t mind either though. Don’t like ignoring trolls, better to just call them out and prove them wrong!
If he’s not trolling then hope he realises now why we do four per customer
Yeah everyone works hard!
isn’t just me, Sue the woman I work with should be retired and should be working with us part time, at the moment she’s doing full time hours. Ashleigh the commercial assistant should be focusing on commercial but was a massive help today.
ive seen Sam get some slack on social media, I mean we all do, but sam’s a credit to the football club and he’s going to be a massive loss to us. Dom the media assistant started just before me and he’s still getting to grips with the role, like myself
our new club secretary mark Sheridan puts in a right shift and does a lot of late nights, he’s really hit the ground running taking over from Richard and he’s also a credit to the football club
they might not like me going on but they all deserve a pat on the back from the fans too. Not one person slacks off so it is nice when good things get said about us all!

I guess the % matters less than if they actually have the demand ….glad you're asking for more, it'll be crazy if there are 1000 empty seats which could have been sold, pretty sure both clubs need the money!
Sometimes it’s down to safety/stewarding/policing reasons though. It costs clubs to open a section of the stand up or give a section of the home end to away fans as they need to pay for more stewards, more policing, and obviously take into account the safety aspect of things.
sometimes the cost of this isn’t worth it... plus we don’t know how well Doncaster are doing for home tickets, or how many they anticipate will POTD.
will enquire though and of course provide an update on the outcome

Surely they'll give us more? Ground's to big for them anyway so you'd have thought they may as well just give us as many as we want. Another 1,000 would make sure there was no one in the home ends.
Gonna ask first thing tomorrow but it’s probably unlikely, they’ve already give us 25% of the grounds capacity which is 10% more than what we are entitled to (FA rules)

Not surprised when they letting you buy 4 at a time...
Okay next time we will just do one per customer, then if a couple want to go with their kids, they’ll have to get their kids to come to the Ticket office and purchase and then have seats not even close to their parents
Not very logical is it?

Thanks very much, I was wondering this as I live in the depths of Worcestershire!
You're doing a great job on here and in the ticket office - any good as a player ?!
If you have any issues buying online get in touch either via phone or the ticket office Twitter/Facebook page
Used to play right back! but I think Hamer and Hunt are a little bit better than me

I've got to say having OAFCBilly posting on this forum (in his own time) has been a real positive all round, I know the ticket office have been criticised in the past but I think people need to appreciate how busy they can be and the actual volume of tickers particularly away ones we are shifting at the moment, thanks for taking the time Billy, what your doing is above and beyond keep up the good work.
Thanks for the kind words . I only started managing the Ticket Office in September so it’s nice to hear fans speak highly of it now, that was the goal! And we are always looking at ways to improve. When it quietens down or during the summer I’m going to try and get some supporter feedback etc so obviously will post it on here also
obviously I can only do so much atm via the Ticket Office but I do want to be connected to the fans (being one myself) so being active on here, social media, and being a friendly (most the time!) face at the Ticket office helps that!

Agree with all that, very difficult to say what is enough/too much because that question is all down to individuals and how well they do/how long they stay.
Perhaps the biggest factor in losing the important feeling of connection is the rapid turnover of players and we all know that has been a problem for years and probably for most lower league clubs.
The end of the day though, footballers are human beings. It’s a short career, and they have to take into account the variables of ambition, loyalty, success, being closer to family, standard of living, etc
I feel connected to the players. Yes I work at the club so it’s a bit easier... but I want to see George Edmundson and Tom Hamer do well, I think Langy can go right to the top he’s that good and technically gifted. Peter Clarke gives his all every game despite being THIRTY SEVEN (I genuinely think some fans forget that), COG is the nicest man in football, and it may show on the pitch sometimes, but he’s a work horse and I admire his professionalism. Missilou and Nepomuceno are different class, I get excited when Nepo gets on the ball, he’s the best left winger we’ve had in years.
As long as they give their all whilst they’re here, if they move they move. It’s not on us to decide for them or vilify a human being for making a decision, even if they are professional footballers

Max per person?
I need five and have a horrible feeling it's four.
It is four but we will allow for five. It’s always four just so people aren’t ridiculous and try and order like 10 or 15 as one customer... as it puts off potential touters
I know we’re only little Oldham Athletic but if we didn’t have restrictions then it would be very easy for people to buy a lot of tickets for £10 and flog them to supporters for £20
online it will be max 4, that’s just because of the setting on the system though... via the ticket office we’ll make exceptions for 5

I think there is a valid non-xenophobic point about having 'too many' foreign players in the team. For me it's re the lack of knowledge and therefore connection. When you sign from another league club then there is a fair chance you will have seen the player in action, have a reasonable knowledge of his style and career, perhaps have a mate who supports his old club etc...
With the imports we're looking at dubious YouTube videos and Wiki stats which really aren't the same at all.
It's one of the reasons why the PL has just become entertainment for me; I don't care about a £40m player that I have never heard of before.
If they're good enough and it works then great and they're very welcome but it does mean the connection is one step removed.
Valid point but it’s not as if we haven’t signed “English” players this season too.
COG, Andy Taylor, Ish, Iverson, Lyden, Baxter, Giles Coke, Lang
And also, when was the last time we had two home grown players featuring regularly (and performing well regularly) in the starting 11?
Plenty of teams in the lower leagues have plenty of foreign players that play for them. Missilou has probably shown more passion for the shirt than half of the lower league journeymen we’ve signed in the past. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
