    Also I thought Oxley played well as he has done the last few games, I think he is definitely improving with more game time

    Thought Winchester and Mellor showed how good they can be, hopefully silenced a few critics on here! Winchester especially held his own in midfield and Mellor looked controlled on the ball and played some good passes. Overall second half thought we showed our potential, bring on anfield...will McDonald be back by then?!

    Must say I think some of the comments on this thread are a little bit ridiculous. I actually agree with prozac about Winchester yesterday, wouldn't say MOM but I thought he was excellent. One of his crosses across the 6 yard box towards the end was dying for someone to get on the end of.

    Yeah Schmeltz should have followed their runner but what the :censored: was Rooney's (?) attempt at a header all about!?

    Like I said it's irrelevant, but it seems like a few people's expectations are a bit too high given our situation, there's clearly been massive improvements. Think some people are expecting too much too soon and it's not gonna happen like that!

    Was thinking that myself, although it's irrelevant and I wasn't there I'd much rather score a few and lose than lose by a single goal in the last ten minutes after 80 minutes of :censored:e like under Dickov

    TBH I'd keep them all I think if Byrne stays there's the basis for a decent defence

    I thought Winchester looked good going forward into space, something I've not seen him do too much of. Gossett looked decent centre mid and Truelove too after a few hairy moments

    Anyone from down south going? I've just moved to Southampton and planning on getting the train up probably on my own, just wondering if anyone else is making the journey!
