  1. The only way we will ever turn our fortunes a club around (barring a takeover from a millionaire) is by increasing attendance and gate revenue, and your answer is to never go again? Dear god you dont deserve this club, nevermind telling corney he doesnt deserve the fans!
  2. The only thing that we know for a fact following all this is that the general public of this country are absolute idiots
  3. Maybe he doew but hes got a point "So hes still not apologised for being a rapist?" Would you if you believe you didnt do it? Even if youd been convicted and you KNOW you didnt do it? I sure as hell wouldnt
  4. We return to being a mediocre leqgue one side whos only realistic chance of promotion is by getting a sizeable investment from somewhere. Damage has been done as far as im concerned. Ive even been called a rape supporter just for being an oldham fan
  5. Mob rule has won, but at the end of the day im glad hes not signing, if indeed hes not. I'll not believe anything until I see a statement on the o\s. Regardless, I think most of the damage has been done
  6. He's been awful for the past 2 months pretty much, very injury prone, and he's no spring chicken (or that old tbh) at 28. If some club comes up with 6 figures, unlikely i know, but I would absolutely snap their hands off
  7. Sorry but I disagree with this Lets get this clear now I'm not saying Evans shouldn't have been found guilty at all, but if I myself was wrongly convicted of rape, I'd be calling the girl that accused me of it every name under the sun, and there'd be no way in hell I'd ever apologise for something I didn't do. The fact is that he is protesting his innocence and not giving this girl all the :censored: that could be flung, just saying why he believes she's wrong I'm firmly sitting on the fence with this one. I dont post on here much but I do read pretty much every day, but some of the double standards and hypocrisy that's been spouted on this board about this tpoic has actually made me laugh more than once
  8. My personal opinion: Evans has been released from prison and allowed to reintegrate with society because in the laws eyes, he is no longer a danger to it. For me, he should be free to resume his career in his chosen profession; this case being football. On the other hand, I don't want him anywhere near this football club. This makes me a hypocrite. If there's one thing I hate it's hypocrites, and it's the club's/board's fault for making me feel like this, and spending 32 hours questioning my own morals. Why did we need to go anywhere near this? We do not need this horrendous publicity at the moment, halfway through a season that was suppose to transform us from the humdrum of league one into a very decent side with a fantastic young manager and some real prospects on and off the pitch. After all this, I cant see us not signing Evans. In another field is this; Evan's case for his appeal is going through the courts as we all sit here discussing and could take potentially 35 weeks to come to a resolution. If we sign him and he fires in 20 goals between now and the end of the season and we reach the playoff final AND he wins his appeal, how are we all going to feel then? Having spoken about him in such disdain and hatred, and then finding out the guy was completely innocent, and you stayed away from a promotion winning team because of your prejudice towards a man who was wrong accused? Flip it again; if he fires in 20 goals between now and the end of the season and has his case thrown out because he was guilty after all, how are the other half going to feel? You'd have been cheering for a man who was justly punished for the grave crime he committed. To sum it up, the only feeling I have right now is anger. Anger towards the club for bringing us into the spotlight when we could have just very easily stayed out of it, and had nothing to do with it, just like we said we were going to do at the start of December. tl;dr - Damn you to the Oldham Board for making me question my morals as a football supporter
  9. If we get a fee let him go, not too bothered about this one
  10. Crucified before his even put on his boots, poor lad hope he does well just to spite most of you lot
  11. Pretty sure the guy was named Toronto FC's player of the season in 2012-13 season so he can't be that bad. You were all raving about us signing Rooney and looked what happened there. I think we should leave the decision to the manager, after all he's the one who's been watching him on trial for a few weeks. Why don't you at least give the man a chance before you start slagging him off as an embarrassing signing?
  12. I can only think of one person who I would class as a legend in recent times: Paul Warne. Any player that literally gives 200% week in week out and plays with is heart on his sleave is a legend to me. Maybe Eyresy if we're going that far back for "recent"
  13. Two things annoyed me about this game: 1. Poor decision making - Koreys decision the pass instead of shoot when he was essentially through on goal in the first half especially really infuriated me to the point where i shouted "what are you being paid for" in a haz of anger 2. Jonathan grounds constant backing off the winger. That right winger tore grounds to shreds purely because grounds was always either a) completely out of position or he was too shot scared to put a tackle in Only plus sides tonight were the corners, which for once looked slightly dangerous, but nobody wanted to get on the end of them. Oh and one more thing, how Dayton missed the target from from 2 yards out is unbelievable. How we can go from scoring one 5 on Saturday to mustering 2 shots on target last night is ridiculous. What the hell have they been doing in training since Saturday?
