We always accuse goalkeepers of not coming of their lines I guarantee you someone will say that about the next goalkeeper.
We accuse because they are crap at it. Plenty of other keepers don’t seem to have that issue. Most teams in this league have big players upfront to play long ball and get crosses in the box we need abit of experience / quality to come and collect the cross and take the pressure off the back four.

From the current squad
Edmondson
Hamer
Nepomucenco
Missilou
Clarke
Baxter
Maouche (not on £4k a week more like £1k a week.
Im undecided on Hunt and Branger it depends how much either wants to stay and how happy they are to settle for a place on the bench.
Id love to sign Lang or Iverson for next season but feel that wont happen.
Id like to sign Zak Dearnley up for next season he will develop.
Thats the basis of a half decent squad.
That would therefore require about 10 signings as has been said above we need to improve the hit rate of good/bad signings. We clearly dont have a strong enough bench thats been a big factor in the last few games. We haven't got the squad to rotate or even anyone who can change it up from the bench.
Really don’t get the love for iverson, yes he pulls off the odd worldie and loves a camera save but the amount of goals from crosses we have conceded due to his reluctance to come off his line has cost us a lot. Crewe and Stevenage in the last two weeks off the top of my head there is a lot more. Those two games alone cost us 4 points.
Not brave enough, yes he is still getting better but there is better overall keepers on this league and to get us promoted we need a commanding keeper something iverson isn’t.

Scholes coming in now is right. He needs to see everything about the club; players and their mentality’s, staff, ground, pitch and budget.
We haven’t gone into a season with a settled manager and kept them the following full season. I’m expecting a massive turn over in players and rightly so. Latics fans are ridiculous to think keeping PW till the end of the season would be beneficial. It’s Time as fans we finally gave a manager some time. Changing a manager nearly every season isn’t good for anyone and time we all accepted stability needs to happen.
Might not be what we all want but think the club will be better for it long term.

I’m a ST holder in the north stand and actually enjoy sitting in my seat. People have ST for seats next to me and have never sat there so can be a pain trying to get a ticket close to me on the day if I don’t get there early enough for my wife. If you buy a ST don’t see why you wouldn’t sit in your own seat?

Could he be the one looking at buying the ground?

Anyone aware of the howarth family behind the ‘Oldham athletic football club PLC’ on companies house. Seems a strange one to have open if you have no involvement with the club. But then again I don’t really have much knowledge of companies house.

So taking in to consideration that Bunn was sacked for one bad performance (Carlisle) would you say tha Wild lost the dressing because of the Macclesfield performance and that Scholes has (already ) lost the dressing room because of the performances against Crewe and Morecambe.
Of the players that Bunn was allowed to sign on a permanent basis all were at the end of their careers (or had been brought out of retirement) , do you really that Bunn with 20+ years experience in youth development only wanted to sign 33 year old players, or do you think his hands were tied by the budget he had been given ?
Bunn has the biggest budget we have had in years. One of the biggest squads aswell. Anyone who gives coke a 2 year deal shouldn’t be anywhere near managing the club!

Their keeper showed iverson tonight a real goalkeeping performance. Brave, claimed everything and controlled his defence. Iverson puts far too much pressure on his back line constantly by not coming to collect. When he did against Yeovil it put a different spin on the game. Yes he pulls a worldie out the bag every now and again but I don’t buy he’s that good. Much better in this league.
For me Stott might need to be purely a CB because he was torn apart tonight.
Missilou worst game game I have seen him have this season. Soft in the tackle won next to nothing in the air.
Branger put out a few tidy crosses in tonight but his work rate leaves a lot to be desired.
Ogrady and Vera I don’t think are worth commenting on.
Take Maouche out of that side as we did and we lost our shape the ability to find a blue shirt at times and and control over the game.
Think scholes May have given up trying to work with them already if I was him next season would already being planned.

Watching the highlights back as I had to work. Absolute howler by iverson for their goal. Should be off his line to collect and even if he stays where he is shys away from a 50/50 ball. Then on the other hand quick thinking for our goal and a well hit kick from his hands. 2 points dropped.

Mad4it needs to stay in a dark room for a few days. Strange character.

Good player when fit but 85 appearances over 4 seasons is really poor says everything about his injury record.

Basics are we have 31 more years on our lease so we’re not going anywhere.
Could be an interesting couple of months especially with the fact our sponsorship with sports direct runs out in a few months aswell.

....it’s obvious. See my posts above. They (Brassbank) have effectively told us they want to sell the land. The Trust have placed an ACV - Asset of Community Value - order on the land. This gives us 6 months to find a buyer to keep Boundary Park a football ground - that could be starting now. That would take us to August.
If we can’t, they can sell it to who they want. eg Tesco, or Bovis. They won’t want to be our landlords. They’ll want a supermarket/houses on it. We’ll be homeless. Begging Dale or Bury to let us groundshare, like Charlton & Wimbledon at Selhurt Park in the 80s & 90s, or Brighton at the Withdean.
We need to pray for a miracle here.
Pretty sure an ACV has to be warned abit more officially than saying it to a few supporters

Pretty sure there's something that says we have about another 20 years where they can't stop us playing at boundary park?
Got to be used as a sports facility for another 14 years I think. Wouldn’t be in the owners interest to sell to a supermarket owning the ground but can’t use it for 14 years, I’m sure they agreed a new covenant when the council provided money to rebuild the new stand.

Seems some more scandal is about to break, by Steve Cross ex Kitman.

Couple of points on this;
surely as kitman at rochdale the club would be wary about continuing his employment if they are aware he is happy to go off on one to make abit of extra cash from a shit newspaper.
2nd hope they have asked him why Bradford sacked him? (Allegedly)
3rd has he paid us back for all the club kit he ‘borrowed’ and never returned? (Allegedly)
He was the biggest gossip going most negative stuff came out from him think that was common knowledge.
(put the alledgedly in for mods)

Refused to sign a contract extension before he got injured. Will be interesting to see where he ends up considering he is injured till at least August.

I was one to have ago at branger but when he moved over to the left he came to light. Cant seriously say you didn’t see the change in him.

Let Pete Wild enjoy the limelight as manager for the last time tonight after a great win. Tomorrow or Monday the announcement causes no issues.

Think AL knows if he plays this one properly he could make massive financial gains from it. Possibly even new investment. This appointment is what most will judge AL on.

Still think the trust need to step back and look at what they want to achieve. There is no goal no direction and expecting fans to sign up to being trust members again when there is no vision is poor. Should be sorted before anything else.

Club will find out today if scholes can manage us.

Might have kept 11 clean sheets but no chance he will play higher than league 1 unless he starts dominating his area.
You cant justify a player scoring from 5 yards out with a header and your keeper being glued to his line. Like I have said he has done it far too often. Clearly accepting mediocrity because he’s kept clean sheets is acceptable.
