Alex Palmer signed for Notts County on an emergency loan...
Played on Saturday when they got beat. Think he has gone back now unless there keeper is still injured.

Barry Chaytow was there today with Alan Hardy. Think he is nearly 80 now!

I am going for Kowenicki to say Maouche MOM tonight.
To be fair I had him as MOM on Saturday by some distance.

Thought today first 25 mins we were not at the races. After that Maouche started controlling the midfield. Best player on the park for me today by some distance. Passing and control of the ball at his feet is a massive step up from the players we have.
Iacovitti was superb grew into the game real solid debut. Won virtually everything in the air, happy to throw himself into last ditch challenges and wasn’t afraid of getting forward.
Ogrady put put a real shift in today what he does is never pretty but won us so much in the final third.
Branger is such a frustrating player. For me there is glimpses of a good player trying to get out but we only ever see glimpses. Another who put a shift in.
Decent second half performances and finally a clean sheet. Hopefully build on it Tuesday.

Named ‘head coach’ this time meaning AL has free roam to play Football Manager.

Massive ‘up yours’ to the trust that. Been saying for a while the trust needs massive change of board members and ideas.

The Sky televised game is a big opportunity for any protest.
Make it known that a protest is planned and Sky will be compelled to cover it.
Any protest in the ground needs to be light hearted but draw attention to the club so that people ask questions about what is going on.
Charlton fans do this well...no sex toys (No one’s kids need to see that! I took that as a joke idea), just something that can go viral online so that it becomes an issue that people outside of Oldham are interesting in.
That will get the national media interested and they have a better chance of getting answers.
Sky cameras don’t face the crowd and don’t want to represent the EFL poorly so they won’t make a big deal of people leaving early or being dressed as clowns. They can’t avoid a few thousand tennis balls on a pitch and a stoppage to the game.
Won’t want to represent the EFL poorly? They are journalists who will love anything like a protest, for £900 you can get a digital board van outside the ground for the day displaying lemsagams out. Would be a talking point. Journos have no real no go zones and if it makes good tv they will go with it.

Crap attendances for clubs at our level will generally go unnoticed. An empty stadium for a live game will be more noticeable (Blackpool in the Cup this season). How many will spend their Easter holiday watching Latics play Mansfield I'm not sure.
A walk out during the game on tv would be more effective and get the commentary team talking about it. mass walk out cameras would love that.

Such as?
What do you notice about Bolton and Blackpool’s times with rubbish owners. Their attendances or actual protests? Protests clearly, crap attendances will do nothing to get any press attention.

If there is a group with money to buy the ground why don't they try buying the club off AL instead? Or am I missing something
Financially any decent business man would try and buy the ground before the club as this will keep the price of the ground down if they believe there is no interest in the football team.
The way AL has bought us shows how naive he is.

Wasn’t going to bother getting a ST next year but there is a bigger picture to this. This is my club and plenty of other fans. I’m not being forced from watching a club I love because of some fuck wit who won’t be here in a couple of years. They come and go but we are stuck with the club.
Unlike bigger clubs, attendances wont just hit the owner financially but the clubs staff and their families meaning the won’t get paid. Catch 22 but I think there is better ways of getting to the owner.

Priest would be a wage saved too and he is experienced enough, surely? It'll be him til the end of the season I reckon....
Statement says an update on the permanent replacement suggesting short term isn’t what we are looking at. Sounds to me like someone is lined up from that andif he left Wednesday might have started putting the word out asap

Mass walk out during the game on Sky!! That would be good and Sky would clearly pick up on it!

I expect Paul Scholes to walk away from the job at some point - probably sooner rather than later, or during the summer if I was to bet on it.
For that reason - and because I'm bored of us changing manager and expecting miracles every few months - there's no reason not to stick with him now.
This season is over for us. Unfortunately I don't think Scholes will have much at his disposal to build a new squad for next season that'll be much better than this one.
There are problems that are too deep rooted that will hold us back. Scholes isn't one of them.
I personally don’t think Scholes would be here if the budget wasn’t secured to work with next season.
Really hoping for a massive change around in squad and attitude in the summer.

Think people need a reality check. The squad even from the start of the season has been poor Miller, Coke, OGrady, Branger, Hunt to name a few. With two days of the window to go I very much doubt scholes has much chance to do the business he really wanted.
Maybe scholes thought the players he had on paper were good enough. We don’t know.
To lose Surridge and not replace him for me was the moment I gave up on promotion. Ogrady vera Dearney or dapo were never going to get us there.
Season now needs to have a line drawn under it and steps to start securing the likes of nepo for next season and really planning for a big promotion push. You never know our next sponsor may give us some much needed revenue.
Time to move on and start building hopes for next year.
Play some youth team players now for the last 9 games blending them with the first team and see what future potential we have at our disposal.

Our back five are shit.

I dread to think what state the knees of those players are in these days.
That bad a player (Milligan) tried to sue us for their damaged knee.

Regular thing these day BP. Plenty with dodgy knees or hamstring problems who aren’t risked on it.

Think we have a 1 year option on Maouche, nepo is out of contract don’t think we have an option on him.
