Carlo had his limitations but should be nowhere near our worst striker nominations. Its all relative I guess, depending on the level we were playing at the time.

I can remember back in the late 70's, big Jim Steel seeming a bit shit to me as a 10/11 year old fan....he used to get loads of stick from the old Ford Stand paddock in his early days with us.

However he'd walk into our current side and probably score a shitload!

Jim is a sergeant in Merseyside Police these days I believe! Can’t be far off retirement a second time round.

I don't know either way, but you could argue he is past it based on the fact he has been released by Accrington, Port Vale and Ross County, and hasn't had any offers for over a year...

He wasn’t released at either club, he asked to leave Ross county and wanted to leave vale but still offered another contract but signed for Ross county instead. Like I say not seen him in years so hard to comment on his ability but not going to rule him out as shit just yet.

Are they allowed to interview 3 BAME and no white?

Really is stupid... If your good enough, no one gives a sh*t what colour you are... Same as players..

Lancashire Police just lost a court case over using ‘positive discrimination’ when a white male didn’t get a job when he was more qualified than BAME applicants.

He wasn’t a club photographer anyway was he? Thought we only had one?

Thats true though... well, the underachievers bit.

    ‘Paid late underachievers’

Club has has been administered by failures for years... evidentially.

Very surprised the trust have just pretty much said ok to players being paid late even if it is a daily expenditure cap, can that be further explained??

    Who?

Phil Brown not enjoying his time abroad apparently and has a get out clause in his contract which he only recently extended but waiting for a job ‘up north’ in the UK, the other being Kevin Nolan. Doubt any of the two would accept the way AL treats people though

Would take brown over clark and coyle any day of the week not great by all means though.

    All very underwhelming isn’t it!

Lee Clark and Owen Coyle being the other options is the true indicator of how low we've fallen.

Can assure you of at least two other very well known managers who want it with one with promotion behind them. Gone straight to AL with their interest. Whether they will take the role of head coach and let AL continue with his ways is another matter completely.

Lescott has a cushy job for City looking after their loan players, and is coaching with England u21. Must be mad to want to give that up to come and work for us for a couple of months.

We might actually be looking to borrow players from city again and getting him and AL introduced.

Natalie Atkinson has left Southport as CEO. One factor was a bit of a social media battle with fans (not seen it) and pursuing other interests., but she knows Broady and therefore FLG, and Mikey Brown our recent media guy.
    Just an observation.

She is hated at Southport caused a lot of issues.

Would be a disaster her being involved.

Just did a bit of research. When he took over Macclesfield had 10 points from 19 games. Macclesfield finished with 44 points from 46 games.

That means Sol Campbell's Macclesfield got 34 points from 27 games. That works out as 58 (rounded up) points over a 46 game season.

We got 62 points, 58 points would have put Macclesfield in 16th.

Not quite Shez levels, but I wouldn't object to Sol Campbell based on that performance for Macclesfield.

Give over with the squad and finances he has - (his budget is the worst in the league) his performances have been superb and to finish 16th would of been a real achievement.
