  1. What’s the rule on the amount of changes you can make for this competition?
  2. Family standers giving out seat numbers. My god, I really do love this club.
  3. Never thought OWTB would be targeted by hackers
  4. Crowds are much improved this season. When was the last time we got 4,100 home fans against an outfit like Crawley Town? Just had a look back (sad bastard ) and the attendance was 3,924 against them when we were going well under LJ in 2014. Impressive stuff.
  5. Winning ugly is proper refreshing. Give me this over circlejerking because we had possession on the edge of the box any day of the week...
  6. Gardner has certainly become a lot more erratic this season, last year he was consistently bang average. Change in instructions perhaps?
  7. Delighted. Deluded if you think I want us to lose.
  8. Can’t ever remember us winning like that. They had us on strings and sucked us into their game from the minute their lad went down after the ball had hit him. Absolutely fucking ace, not celebrated a goal at home like that for a long time. The cheating twats got everything they deserved. Play-offs, love it!
  9. I’ve actually been complimentary of the footballing side of things for the past few games. Says a lot about your intelligence when you can’t debate a point without dishing out childish insults.
  10. I’ll be at BP backing the lads today. Moaning on here and social media doesn’t mean I’m the type of fan who gives out abuse to players at a game or anything like that. I love OAFC that much that I want us to keep hold of our best players, others channel their love by backing every decision that the club makes. We just disagree - that’s cool. Imagine how boring this board would be if everyone agreed all the time.
  11. If my posts annoy you that much you have the option to block me. I’m not forcing anyone to read what I put on here.
  12. By definition mutual termination means that both Byrne and the club have agreed to the package. If they had grounds to get rid of him without a payoff (a sacking) they would’ve done it weeks ago rather than waiting all this time.
  13. It generally means that both parties have agreed to a suitable severance package - he’d have got a decent pay off from this, which makes the decision all the more baffling.
  14. Celtic got the piss ripped out of them for narrowly losing to AEK who easily won the Greek PL last year yet Burnley lost comfortably to Olympiacos who finished 3rd in that league. Admittedly Celtic are miles better than the rest of them but still, a 5th placed SPL team is 100% an upgrade on this pub league we find ourselves in.
  15. A team who finished 5th in the SPL last season are a definite upgrade on League Two football
  16. Every single player last season played a part in getting us relegated, some of that team who are still here were more responsible than Jack. Some fans are convinced that the lads who still remain from last year turn up on a Saturday solely for their love of OAFC and everyone who has left over the summer is a self-serving egotist who wipes their arse with Latics themed toilet roll. Jack Byrne is not a Nile Ranger or Marlon King type character. He rejected other moves in January because he felt he owed the club some loyalty after giving him a route back into first-team football. He had every right to be angry at Wellens for playing him in a position where he couldn't influence games as much, these bizarre tactical decisions were what cost us our League One status in the end. If Richie would've listened to Jack when he gave him lip for putting him out on the right for those final fixtures I'm convinced we'd have picked up another 2 points from somewhere.
  17. Which of the current squad don’t view OAFC as a stepping stone? Can guarantee every single one of them would be off for a decent enough pay rise.
  18. Never once claimed to be ITK. He’s told other fans that he’d like Byrne back in the team - make your own mind up as to whether you wish to believe them or not
  19. Signing off. Keep defending our egomaniac owner and his decisions that are detrimental to the team’s performances and also be sure to compare every poor signing he makes to someone we got from the dog and duck in the 50’s who turned out to be ‘alright’ against players who survived off tabs and Boddingtons. Peace.
  20. I’ll accept that he broke Fane’s leg but the rest has been invented by fantasists. As for breaking the club’s social media policy good on the lad for standing up to a tyrannical owner. No evidence he did anything bad at Blackburn. Wigan have an abundence of quality midfielders - Nick Powell is Premier League class for example. He’s a winner. He sulked at Wellens for his bizzare substitutions and decisions, Jack turned out to be right - Wellens took us to our lowest finish in 5 decades with one of the most talented squads in our recent history. He sulks when he can’t influence the game because he cares too much, the lad is a born winner. It kills him when he can’t dictate the play.
  21. Merely a response to those saying he’s refused to play
  22. The Corney apologists all said the same things. Just be thankful we’ve got a football club and aren’t Stockport County, init.
  23. He’s been in charge for 7 months, in that time we’ve been in the national media for his dictator style approach and finished in our lowest league position since the early 70’s. Being the owner of a football club is a thankless task where you put yourself in the line of criticism, I’m not going to kiss his feet for making decisions that are to the detriment of the team. Most of the money he’s put in has been wastage on his shite mates like Menig and Maouche. So no, I won’t. Ta.
