  1. It would be bat :censored: crazy to assume the infallibility of a judge and jury. I always reserve judgemement until I think I know enough of the facts. You might remember that I don't do the faith thing. If not having faith makes me crazy in your eyes then so be it.
  2. No. I'm a figment of your imagination. Stay off the hallucinogens. He regrets cheating on his girlfriend. Everything else he doesn't accept any guilt towards. If he is correct in his innocence then the only thing that he did which is wrong is the cheating part. This is a private matter and yet he has publicly apologised for this. So your particular take on the "he's shown no remorse" soundbite is that he needs to ask his supporters to stop hounding certain people. I'll grant you that he could do that. Maybe it would be a wise and noble thing to do. But this is not what most people are referring to when thy talking about his "lack of remorse" So what? He's not inside anymore. He should be allowed to resume his chosen career. I so no good reason why that career can't be as a footballer. Says it all. I need more than that to form an opinion on someone's guilt.
  3. 1) What reasoned argument? 2) I've said it at least 5 times now and so have others. Why would he show remorse if he believes he didn't do it? It beggars belief that people don't get this. 3) He has served his incarceration. This to me is the only relevant factor. Who cares if he can't go abroad? 4) The only "fact" provided by this journalist that supports the notion of Ched Evans' guilt is that of the jury's verdict.
  4. That's a very odd statement to make 0000. I don't think we've conversed in years. Maybe a rebuttal would be in order if you think i'm wrong.
  5. It's the same old trite and irrelevant nonsense I'm afraid. I was yawning all the way through it. No remorse (seriously people need to stop saying this.....it sounds SO stupid). Footballers are role models. He hasn't "technically" served his time. Absolutely nothing in the "facts" stated that indicate guilt beyond the jury's verdict. I would struggle to disagree more.
  6. What message is that? "If you have a certain look, then when you are older you can choose to do some modelling if you want to." I see no problem and no hypocrisy here.
  7. Not that I agree with any talk of role models in football regarding Ched Evans, but why is Charlie Webster getting her kit off relevant to her being a role model?
  8. This (insert pejorative here) mob justice lover has written an open letter to Mike Ashley requesting he withdraw his sponsorhip of our club. https://www.northumbria-pcc.gov.uk/open-letter-mike-ashley-regarding-ched-evans/
  9. They don't forget. We just seem to currently live in a world where an alleged rape consisting of "was she too drunk or wasn't she too drunk to consent" is considered more unforgivable than operating a powerful and incredibly dangerous machine under the influence of drugs and fleeing the scene of the crime with no thought to the soon to be dead victims.
  10. Well he showed himself to be a pleb anyway by spewing up the trite and irrelevant "he's shown no remorse" soundbite. I was under the impression that these political people have advisors to help guard against getting their feet in their mouths.
  11. I'm sick of hearing this. He's been convicted of a crime for which he claims innocence. If he believes that he is innocent, why would he show remorse? Why should he show remorse? This particular criticism makes no sense. Utter twaddle. Pseudo psychological guesswork based on nothing but your own opinion that he's guilty. Good to see you are so open minded.
  12. Yes I did. And I'll type it again. Cocaine use IS NOT a moral/ethical issue. Which is not an argument I respect. See my previous post regarding gender tribalism. Whether or not I would be happy with a loved being addicted to Coke is irrelevant to the morality of the situation. Or do you reject the idea of personal liberty? One is unethical and the other is a personal choice.
  13. How is Cocaine use a moral/ethical issue? It isn't. And Montano's problems did not come to light until after his career with us was over
  14. Aside from everything else you've said, your post is full of sentiments that I find sexist and tribalistic. I never understand why people come out with stuff like this. Why do people think like this? Aren't we all human beings?
  15. Just spotted this quality piece of journalism on the BBC. Thought I'd quote it before it disappears
  16. Wow! Impatient bastards up there at Hartlepool. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30359229
  17. Can't we just send a guy with a video camera and a live feed back home, so that hardly anyone is financing this pathetic excuse of an establishment? This is one club in the world that I actually despise.
  18. Yes, because the fair and appropriate reaction to someone celebrating a goal is "a good kicking".
  19. How would they get 150K for him when he's out of contract in the summer?
  20. What does it matter? We don't want him. That is the only important fact in all of this. The club can sit down with Kim Jong Un for all I care. What makes you entitled to explanations on private communications?
