  1. I'm so tempted to give you a score out of 7, but I won't
  2. Just to clarify. I won't be confirming any of these names a ) Just incase I compromise my source b ) On the off chance that any of these players don't even know that their services are being offered around.
  3. I've just seen a list of 7 players that Latics have listed for loan. Three of them are obvious, and I don't think have even played any minutes for the first team this season. Three more are current fringe players, occasionally starting matches but usually not more than bench warmers. The other one would probably more of a surprise to some. Loaning him out would free up decent wage. In other words, I suspect LJ is up for quite abit more wheeling and dealing this month.
  4. Forgetting how stupid the nature of this question/statement is for a moment, obviously mathematics is not a strong point for this guy.
  5. I find it peculiar, that in spite of the lack self monitoring that asian betting markets are adapting, that thousands of pounds placed on on an obscure event (such as Cristian Montona getting booked against Wolves or Notts County) isn't immediately obvious. Or maybe it was obvious, and it was an anoymous tip off from the East which alerted the Sun. Does anyone know why the Sun started investigating these players?
  6. To the above poster. I'm confused. How exactly are you proposing to regulate the gambling industry without restriction the freedoms of those who want to gamble? Or are you simply quite content to do the latter? If so, I am firmly against your proposal.
  7. I think my original question was on the deleted thread so... This has no doubt been asked before, but does anyone know what Montano's booking against Notts County in the JPT was for? I was at th game , and I vaguely remember questioning the intelligence of one of our player following a booking, but I cannot recall the incident.
  8. I'd have settled for him playing well and scoring a goal. But whatever floats your boat
  9. I will say though that the County player (Freeman I think) was a cnut. He made sure he stayed down until Bove got sent off. Why at 4-1 down he felt the need to do that escapes my modest sense of empathy. he clearly wasn't hurt. If it had been me on the recieving end of that tackle, I would have done everything I could to make sure that an 18 year making his professional debut didn't get sent off (as soon as I was confident that I was ok to continue playing).
  10. I was right in line with it from where I was sat at the front of the main stand and I immediately feared the worst. It was clearly just a rush of blood and a poor decision to slide in (no real malice), but he was nowhere near it. You just can't go in like that. The rules are there to protect players from the kind of career threatening injuries that result from that kind of challenge. He deserved it I'm afraid IMHO.
  11. a ) His post was mostly positive, and you highlighted the two lines that weren't b ) His comments regarding the periods of the game where we played poorly were 100% accurate. What's wrong with calling it as it was?
  12. Does anyone remember the last time we retook a lead in a match?
  13. They have their own Gordon Lawton on the bench it seems
  14. Only in hindsight. I think Roy has every right to expect people in the media not to act like petulant 12 year olds over something that is clearly innocuous. It is not his job to second guess his well intentioned team talks to such a degree.
  15. Another tribal moron trying to make a name for herself: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24592596 Tell me Ms Rabbatts, if they elected a black man to the commission (which I suspect they will now thanks to all this BS), but they identified as a human being and a football person first, rather than as a skin tone (because they're not as racially obsessed as you), would that appease you? What exactly does having different epidermal tones on the commission accomplish other than appeasing the socially stunted morons like yourself who like to divide people up by skin colour? Let's make sure we have the following types on the commission too, just to make sure everyone's views are "represented": gingers, transgenders, hat wearers, homosexuals, libertarians, mormons, people with multiple personalities and aspergers
  16. And exactly as racist themselves as they accuse others of being. Things like this being considered racist wouldn't cross he minds of someone who isn't themselves prejudiced in some way. Reminds me of some of the racism stories that The Young Turks like to run. One story involved some nutjob comparing Obama to a drug dealer because of some policy or other. Cenk Uygur considered that comment to be racially motivated (drug dealers = black people apparantly). Of course no such motivation was remotely stated or implied. It's also kind of like how some of the religious conservatives who most fierely oppose homosexuality, end up getting outed themselves.
  17. Apparently Sol Campbell is whining about the lack of black players in the FA Commission. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24483665 Utter tosh I say. Tribalistic BS.
  18. This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I don't quite see how David Eyres is one of our top ten legends. I'll grant that he was very good for us I just don't see him as one of our best, or even most influential, ever.
