  1. No mata no mata. Moyes will have chance to wreck that impressive record soon.
  2. It's a joke......based on Prozac's stubborn insistence on only referring to Adam Rooney by his first name.
  3. I agree with what he said about the "Keep the Faith" slogan, except for the last sentence. Basically what I have for Lee Johnson and Oldham Athletic is trust. Trust that is based on the evidence of my own ears and my won eyes, my own experience of footballing matters, coupled with the testimony and solid arguments of others. It is a confidence (though not a certainty), that is based on something. Faith doesn't even come to in to, nor does Faith come into my world view at all (hence why I hate the slogan).
  4. He'll be 31 in the summer, LJ has described this as a long term capture, and at 5 ft 7 he's obviously no target man. Hopefully he's still in good nick if he's the man Johnson is trying to sign.
  5. JCH has to start for me. Much like Harkins is a weapon for home games, I see JCH being a weapon for away games. Unless LJ just feels that he needs a break, due to 3 games in a week.
  6. Speaking of my world class abilities, I also like to use my dic ta phone. Probably should use my fingers
  7. Well....three things: Schmeltz plays a different position, a position for which which I'm guessing Lee Johnson seeks more discipline for much of the game than he requires from a number 10. Schmeltz defensive issues often stem from a lack of concentration off the ball, or from playing a solo game when a team game is required (eg at the end of a tight game) Reading between the lines I don't think Harkins will be starting too many away games. He basically needs him for the home games for the reasons he stated at the forum. But the away games mostly require a different game plan.
  8. Well no. Since amongst other things, I already stated elsewhere that Schmeltz was not on the loan list that I saw. And I will also reveal (since really they are all obviously available for loan anyway and aren't likely to be troubled by being revealed as being available for this kind of transfer), that Byrne, Belezika and Gossett were all on that list.
  9. LJ told us this was a tricky one to get right tactically. Do we set the team out to match them physically and take something away from our own game, or do we try to run rings around them like we did on the opening day? (at the expense of letting in 3 goals). I'm relieved we got the result anyway. This was never going to be straight forward, in spite of the above comments.
  10. I understand that a major reason that we never went in for Gardner was that we wanted him to trial him out in training first before making a decision. The Halifax chairman wasn't up for that.
  11. I read this sentence a bit too quick on my first read This is what it came out something like in my head: Do you think my cognitive faculties have an agenda?
  12. No No No. This is all paraphrasing ;) Plus I don't think they make tapes anymore. And just incase you think you can rely on me typing all this up for future events. I think I covered maybe 15 minutes or less in total out of the two hours. And it's taken me ages. I think I'll do some other segments from this meeting, but only on request. Does anyone have any specific parts of the meeting they want fleshing out?
  13. Added the Sidney relevant part of the forum day: http://www.owtb.co.uk/index.php/topic/44487-meet-the-manager-9th-jan-2013-feedback/page-6#entry684928
  14. I'll write up this stuff bit by bit Here is what i've got so far: More tomorrow
  15. Also said that it was supposed to be a 433 (not a 460), which is reliant on wing play. Unfortunately Dayton had a bad game and Montano with hindsight had his own agenda.
  16. Just got back I'll do a lengthy writeup when I have time. Either very late tonight or during tomorrow. He was discussing Rooney when I walked in late (about 10 minutes I think), so anything that was said before then, I won't know anything about.
  17. I've messaged wardlelatic half an hour ago to say that I can go. I need to set of in 10 minutes or so in order to get there on time. He has't responded yet. Does anyone think I should just go?
  18. All of this is probably obvious, but just incase its not: a ) I would like much of the questioning to centre around LJ's plans for the squad, individual players and his general tactics and footballing philosophy with the team he is trying to build. b ) Who in the squad has not lived up to his expectations / met their specified set targets and why c ) What mistakes does Lee Johnson admit that he has made (tactically or otherwise), what lessons have been learned and where do we go from here d ) Which players have met or surpassed all expectations Will there be anyone at the meeting keeping thorough notes?
  19. I should mention that, amongst your guesses, four of them I would class as being in the category of "nowhere near getting first team minutes", which I already mentioned fits the profile of only three of the circulated players that I saw on the list.
  20. I would be surprised if 4 or 5 of them end up anywhere near the EVO Stick
