  1. Only if you believe we have 54 pros which is exactly my point....we don't
  2. To say our top earner is on £1900 or any other sum is misleading? All/ most pros are on a salary plus appearance and results bonuses.
  3. Mr Chambers reports that £27,000 is nearly a weeks wages for the squad......well unless we have 54 players in said squad that is considerably more than £ £500 per week?
  4. For those aged 60-65 it is cheaper than Boundary Park
  5. The players have only themselves to blame for not being paid...........they should never have agreed to performance related pay
  6. I texted my son to tell him that the players has not been paid. His terse reply... " I am not surprised there are so bloody many of them" It amused me anyway
  7. ....or if you mean February had just lost 7-0 4-0 and were on a run of losing 8 in 13
  8. I don't subscribe to the view that certain players' faces don't fit....I do believe however that we have too many players at the club and inevitably many of these will be kicking their heels. Whatever employment area you wish to choose it is not a healthy situation where there is not enough work to go around..... The effects of this can manifest themselves in many different ways, ..anxiety, envy, allegations of favouritism, lethargy cliques, insecurity etc etc. it is extremely difficult to manage over staffed and under-utilised employees. In short we need to prune the number of players we have
  9. ....and about to lose 7-0 4-0 and lose 8 out 13
  10. Like me there will others on this board who have 22 or 23 year old sons. I think those of us who do will have some realisation of just how young in reality they are, how inexperienced in life they are , how vulnerable they are( of course they think they are immortal themselves).......Last week when Cloeman dropped the ball for Barnsley winner I booed and called him fit to burn.......however when I took time to reflect I had to wonder why an intelligent man was publicly decrying a 19 year old keeper who is barely old enough to live away from his parents for dropping a ball Perhaps it told me more about myself than Coleman. Don.t get me wrong football is about opinions emotions disappointments and expressing them.....it is not about personal abuse though surely.
  11. I did as did the manager, coach goalkeeping coach et al.....who selected him
  12. Because he is a better goalkeeper than coleman
  13. I see that Dave Worrall on the Southend site has commented on the challenging nature of the pitch on Tuesday
  14. It is all about opinions of course. Coleman dropped twice. Cornell not at all. Rightly or wrongly the England international who has played with them both does not share your opinion
  15. You are entitled to your opinion bluear. I disagree with you on this one and I would caution against interpreting happenings to match opinions rather than vice versa
  16. Yes 2. Both away. 5th goal apart give me a specific example of an error , mishandling whatever from Tuesday
  17. What exactly has Cornell done wrong 5th goal against Southend apart? ......even that was the result of an absolutely awful header from Wilson.
  18. To agility pace and mobility add speed of thought
  19. Have a look at the goals. 5th horrendous keeper error. First 4. None of them down to keeper. First goal mills fails to clear Second and third B Wilson caught out Even for the fifth we headed it across goal Ps their second goal is well onside!
  20. We have endlessly discussed formations, 2 up top, 3 at the back whatever.... I have come to the opinion that the common denominator in the defence struggling, in midfield getting over run and in the attack being ineffective is a relative lack of mobility , agility and pace throughout the team. This is cruelly exposed at home where we are inevitably less compact and opposing teams exploit more space which are slow to close down . Repeatedly we see opposing midfielders running beyond our players at pace..... Ps don't get me wrong, our players are necessarily elite athletes to be playing at the level they are playing but I believe relative to the level they are marginally off the pace all over the field. Compactness away negates this to an extent.
  21. Now I am confused. You said nobody was sharp enough to cotton on to the pass....now you say that Dummigan was? Who gets the credit Dummigan or Rasulo? Or are you now agreeing that a good pass is one which finds a colleague not one which went into an area where somebody might have been? Or are you saying that whatever your prodigy does is good? Ps my light hearted point was that a ball which did not go to a team mate was ipso facto not a pass
