Well what do the last accounts show?

Over £11m but virtually impossible to qualify what that is made up from by what is filed

Money definitely spent buying the majority 97% shareholding (wouldn't have thought £5-£6m ) but lets hope its money well spent

Not this Old chestnut again. It’s gettin boring. Same old speculation without any proof. Pity we cannot look for positives instead of doom and gloom.

    Yeah you're right !

Not paid the Players and Staff again yet, is pretty boring

I'd be mighty surprised if we were running at anything like that sort of operating loss.  It seemed fairly clear that Bury were offering big money to get what seemed unlikely signings.  While the new owner may have made some short term mistakes with Menig etc. I'd hope the sorts of number involved were not on that scale and will not be repeated.

You may well be right looking at this extract from the Fans Meeting with Simon Corney in Jan 2017

I do suspect it is likely to have increased from the £1.3m quoted:

    ·         When asked where the money was coming from to fund the expenditure on players etc. SC said he was funding it. The club accountant said on the phone (via loudspeaker) that last season SC put circa £1.3m into the club. To date this season, he has put £900k in and expects by the end of the season to have put in a further £400K. The club has an ongoing gap between income and expenditure averaging circa £1.3m per year.

Bury FC Accounts for the year end 31st May 2017

Agree that Bury Creditors (Debt) have risen from £6,837,747 in 2017 from £4,334,418 in 2016, an increase of £2,503,329

Bury FC Operating Loss is £2,665,662 for 2017 up from £2,358,160 in 2016

What's your source for Latics debt being c£7m as we don't appear to have filed our Accounts for some time ?

Assuming Latics run at a similar annual Operating loss of lets say c£3m (this £figure has previously been muted by our previous Chairman), what has Mr Lemsagam spent

    his c£5m-£6m on  ?

    Genuinely interested

Bury debt has gone up from £4.3m to almost £7m (similarly level to ours) However, according to Kieran Maguire Bury say £4m owed to one of Day's companies but it's not on the other companies accounts.

  6. Cant see Jack Byrne staying with us but no way is he at a Championship standard yet but could do a decent job in League One if he gets the benefit of playing time with an experienced playmaker (Jack Grealish has improved massively having the likes of John Terry in the dressing room and a very decent manager in Steve Bruce)

Any news on Davies and Holloway moving out yet ?

What I'd  have liked to have read is the influx of imports didnt work out too well and in future we will leave all signings to the manager..Richie Wellens.

Its a cleverly worded statement in my view, declaring his intentions to rebuild our Club without committing too early to any individuals or particular part of our current operating structure

  8. I'm no Genius but this fella was:

Albert Einstein is broadly credited with exclaiming “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results

The only reason that makes any sense why we have kept on RW is that we simply cannot afford to pay up his contract

Unprofessional that we took on a rookie manager on a contract when our results were dire without a relegation clause included

Worrying that our new owner is unable/unwilling to pay off his contract for clearly failing

Relegation to the bottom league in English Football for the first time in 40 years should be looked upon as an opportunity for a totally fresh start with the new broom (Mr Lemsagam) clearing the decks

I fear he could well be simply 'moving the deckchairs on the Titanic' just hoping for a change in our luck :disappointed:

I was agreeing with the bit about AL. When I was single I went out with a fat girl then a ginger. Because I sacked the ginger doesn't mean that I liked or like fat girls

    Fair comment

    Made me chuckle that :laught16:

Macclesfield away is a top away.

Won’t have to loan out Hamer, Edmundson, Stott ‘for experience’ we can just do it ourselves.

Couple of quick seaside visits to Morecombe and Grimsby.

Probably have a fair fight and then a pint with the locals in Newport.

Reasonable journey times to Vale, Mansfield, Crewe, Carlisle.

Maybe renew rivalries with the ‘posh’ bin dippers.

    Novelty trip to Forest Green.

That’s all I’ve got, feel free to chip in..

    Looking forward to it!

And that's as good as it gets Monty Burns !!

There's not one decent fixture for us next season  :disappointed:

The New owner has probably got someone in mind for next season does anyone else agree with me bring them in this week and put them in charge for the Northampton game. New Manager syndrome and all that. Let's face it Wellens his clueless and next week's game is the biggest in years

    'Owled' with laughter reading this

    Clearly a Football Genius :laught16:

  12. this lot are dragging our Club into the bottom tier of English Football for the first time since 1970-1971

we're all but down if you look at both AFC Wimbledon and Walsall have a game in hand on us, and we've played both in recent weeks but could only scrape a point in each game AND Rochdale have a better goal difference than us which is worth a point.

these days the bottom two in League 2 drop into Non League Football :jailed:

Placide has been terrific since you stopped singing that song.

    I know Fans sometimes seem to be watching a different game than others but  . . . . . . .

  14. Thought the young lads in defence marshalled by Gerrard were magnificent with Johny keeping a clean sheet in a very high pressure and critical game

Last night was a 'must not lose game' and I would suggest the toughest in our run in

For his glimpses of ability Byrne was good to watch but I banged on weeks ago about his bad attitude, lack of focus and his general selfish attitude where he thinks he's got to do everything rather than work for the team, he's the kid from school who has the most ability but wants to take the throw ins, corners, penalties and goal kicks and fucks off home with the ball under his arm if he doesn't get his own way, can win points for you but will lose your more. I hope the lad grows up one day and realises what ability he's got and goes about making the most of it, you can't coach some of the things he can do with a ball but he's going to have to listen and follow simple instructions if he wants to get on in the game, unfortunately for him footballs a team game and when he realises this he will be a different beast.

You've nailed this one to be fair but the Kid is only 21 and thankfully 'keen as f*&k' and hungry. You can train talent but not install 'attitude and desire to win'

If nurtured, JackB could develop into a very good player

  16. Baffling why anyone would want to give the Away Fans clearly the best of the 'End Stands'

Other than from a nostalgic point of view it makes no sense at all

The Jimmy Frizzell Stand offers growth for more Home Fans should we improve the performance on the pitch, whereas if we swapped Stands we would be giving the larger Stand to the Away Fans, who lets be honest, other than a few Clubs don't get remotely close to filling the Chaddy End

btw, my Dad and Grandad took me to my first game in the late 60's and we stood in the Chaddy End so I fully appreciate the History :chubb:
