    i'm nothing but optimisic having a manager who's come in and, regardless of the :censored: he was gonna get for it, seen shoring up our awful defence as his first and most important job. it hasn't been pretty (MK Dons aside) but he's done it. now we've got something to build on - it's not rocket science this management lark eh? i never thought i'd enjoy watching an "organised"/"hard to beat"/"'orrible" Oldham but I am.

    at last! how many have we conceded in recent times due to one or both of these 2 f*****g about with it??? Bristol Rovers being the latest example. not doing much with the ball apart from hoofing it suits me absolutely fine

    there was a bloke in a suit, well spoken, being shown around the back of the RRE before kick off by what looked like a club employee. they seemed to be mainly discussing the catering, although I heard no mention of those machines that pour 6 pints at once. anyone know who he was???

    you're not Dave Penney (at least I don't think you are) so why not leave the nitpicking to the man who gets paid to nitpick and just enjoy, as a fan, what was our best performance in a long, long time???

    Everything DP promised - young, fit, hungry players playing exciting attacking football. It would have been a travesty if they'd equalised, we could & should have had a hatful - in fact, Talk Sport think it was 3-1! Parker had his best game and the finish was class but who was the idiot who voted him Man of the Match ahead of Abbott??? Best forward play I've seen at BP for many a year. Hughes was a better goalscorer but, for me, Abbott is by far the more complete all round player.
