oafcprozac
Better than Viagra is OWTB matey.... What many of these whipper snappers fail to realise, is that some of these oldies were singing, dancing, chanting and slapping, and following latics all over the place before many on here were an itch in their daddy's pants. If they don't want to sing it's up to the individual whether they do or they don't. Personally I think most grow out of it, I'm 31 now and unless i'm particularly inebriated or hyped up siege mentality) then more often than not I won't join in, although there's usually a few occasions every game when I do! of course unless you are the Peter Pan of Football fans and still think you are 16, singing and atmosphere becomes he be all and end all, I can think of one poster on here in particular. What I find amusing though, is that often 90% of the singing involves staring at the oppo's fans for 90 minutes in a big willy waving contest. That isn't support, it is tribal. The high quality singing in support of the team is often the exception rather than the rule, especially when siege mentality kicks in......City away countless times, Wolves, Everton, QPR in the play offs etc.... We live in an open democratic society (well we used to, before New Labour) and just because fans don't sing does not make them less of a fan than some jumped up little knob who thinks he's a super fan 'cos he's goaded oppo fans to throw bottles of piss at him! Bring Back Ronnie Moore
Stitch, the match was played at Spotland, not Boundary Park. Did you not realise something was wrong when you were sat in complete darkness and saw nobody on the pitch?
oafc_ok
I was thinking that, even before I knew it had the hands of a Midlander on it We don't have the best record there ourselves... Many chants don't stand up to close scrutiny. It was a chance to rub salt in a very recent open wound, though. I admit that as a songwriter I'm not up there with the likes of Nigel Fletcher and Rob Woodward but the intention was to wind the Dale fans up and as far as I can tell it worked

There were a fair few in our end looking at their feet when that one was being sung
