singe
AS has been said, there are a number of players on 4 yellows. Hiw does it work though, I know once the hit 5 auto ban. ISn;t there a period after which they expire or is that in MArch?
Simpo
The suspension for yellow cards for some reason starts 7 days after the 5th yellow, so if you get a 5th yellow on a Saturday, you could still play in a midweek game before missing the game the next Saturday. 1 match ban for 5 yellows (if before March), 2 match ban for 10 yellows (If before middle of April), 3 match ban for 15 yellows, disciplinary hearing for 25/30/35 yellows! Diego_Sideburns
From tonight's rarely wrong Chron: Ban on the cards for Athletic trio Reporter: Latics latest by MICHAEL YARWOOD Date online: 30/10/2008 TWO more Athletic players are walking a disciplinary tightrope ahead of Saturday’s clash with Yeovil at Boundary Park. Defender Reuben Hazell was already on four yellow cards for the season, and he has now been joined by striker Lee Hughes and midfield man Mark Allott. Hughes and Allott were both booked for fouls during Athletic’s superb win against league leaders Scunthorpe on Tuesday night. And, along with Hazell, they are only one caution from being hit with an automatic ban. The suspensions would come into effect after seven days, so if any of Hughes, Allott and Hazell are booked on Saturday they will miss the FA Cup tie at Cheltenham. Captain Sean Gregan is the only Athletic player to be banned so far this season — he sat out three games for a straight red card against Hartlepool. Fellow defender Stefan Stam could be back for the first-round tie on Saturday, November 8. The Dutchman, along with Richie Byrne, are a week to 10 days away from being fit again. Stam has been out with a knee ligament injury picked up in training earlier this month, while Byrne is recovering from a hamstring strain sustained against Leicester City. Former Aberdeen full-back Byrne will be eager to prove his fitness as his current contract runs out a week today.
Lookers_Carl
Rarely wrong chron wrong again Gregan not the only player to be banned. Think the chron forgot about the antics of a certain mr davies vs rochdale that caused him to miss 3 games. I know its only petty but youd expect the friggin local paper to get that right!!!! In a way i hope all 3 pick up a yellow on Saturday, that way they only miss the cup game (league is more important) and it'll give Maher, Davies and Stam/Byrne a chance in the Cup! Diego_Sideburns
What ever can you be suggesting? Talking of behaving like Taggart, I see they're proposing that motorists, willing to pay for the privilege, be allowed to drive along the hard shoulder of motorways.
