Diego_Sideburns
Last season Mark Allott showed that he is capable of a good long throw. This season it's been missing from his game, prompting me to think he must no longer be physically capable of doing it. Anyway, surprise, surprise, he took a long throw today during the second half. Is this the birth of Plan B?

Is this the birth of Plan B? maybe he was trying to use the prevailing blustery conditions to his and our advantage, and prolly thought the other throw ins havent been that good ill chance me arm here.. we miss a long throw expert, its like getting a free kick when they can throw it in from 30 yards out. Nervous_Tic
Mark Allott's long throw was only used last season as Neal Trotman was the only player who could win the ball from them. When he left, the whole tactic left with him.
opinions4u
What hallmarked yesterday's performance was the throw ins we won. A player chooses to take it. 2 other players close by stand still. 7 others clearly out of reach of the thrower. Who wants the ball? If these guys don't want the feckin thing they shouldn't wear the shirt. NOBODY WANTED IT. NOBODY WANTED TO DO ANYTHING WITH IT. Good players - bad attitudes. Hey, let's play under 11s park football? Everyone one bar the keeper grouped round the thro in, forger positions, forget passing let's see 20 players all moving within 12 feet of the ball like a crazy scrum!!! latics jan
Thought that simple passing to a bue shirt was woeful yeterday. Possibly wind played a part but it was still disappointing.

Is this the birth of Plan B? Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but this may have been because a certain white haired gentleman was sat in my eye-line to Mark Allot. I do wonder why we tried to use a long throw against a team so much taller than ours though. Having said that it was actually more useful than some of the throws we had in the game. I would agree that apart from moves which are obviously from the training ground, (and only get used once- which seems a waste for me as I think some could get reused) our set-pieces have been poor. But they have been poor for a few years with the exception of when Trotman was playing last season.
leeslover
Mark Allott's long throw was only used last season as Neal Trotman was the only player who could win the ball from them. The biggest problem with Trotman was that he wasn't quick enough to get on the end of his own throw ins
