leeslover
Yet when it Leeds fans fully aware of going in the wrong end and then celebrating their goal latics fans are all upset when the Leeds fans get spat on. FFS make your mind up What's inconsistent about disapproving of Leeds fans going in the wrong end, AND of Latics gobbing at them and karate kicking them aas they are led out, AND FYC types meeting up for a scuffle, AND Leeds fans knifing one of them afterwards? None of it is great behaviour, and we can just as well condemn it all as say, "they did this so we'll do this."

The crux of it is, if we don't consistently condemn all of the bad behaviour, then we have no right to complain that the club are being charged extortionate amounts for the extra policing and stewards that will be forced on us even on low-key games due to us having a reputation. Extra charges that are recouped on the turnstiles I might add. Very few would say they don't understand why Latics fans' emotions were running high when confronted by a bunch of intimidating Leeds morons who were sat where they shouldn't be, but by the same stroke do we honestly believe the stewards / police wouldn't have thrown them out anyway if Latics fans had been vocal enough about it without risking it spilling over into the kids/pensioners/women sat nearby? Maybe I'm getting old.... fighting doesn't seem fun anymore. Edited March 4, 2009 by outoftheblue
