Diego_Sideburns Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 IF the proposed move to a new stadium goes ahead, BP will be demolished and houses built, possibly with a fountain where the centre circle now stands, as happened in the case of Shamrock Rovers' Glenmalure Park, Milltown. The stayaways will be able to walk their dogs around the development, reminiscing about how once it was a football ground with crowd noise you could hear miles away. I was pondering about names for the roads on the ‘Boundary Park’ residential development site and came up with these for starters. Athletic Avenue Latics Lane Royle Rise Ritchie Road Holden Heights Redfearn Spot Fleming (Craig/Alexander) Cul-de-sac (for the NHS social housing) Lister Lane (OAFC/NHS connection) Gemmell & Alan Groves Haddington House Palmer Place Fryatt Fold Bunn Boulevard Johnstone Jitty Milligan Mount Donachie Drive Dowd Green Irwin Close Rowley Row Stainrod Square Valentine View Hardwick Court Cooksey Circle Barrett Homes Goram Ginnell Wembley Walkway Frizzell Field in Yard Dog Woodland (adjoining Clayton Playing Fields) Gregan Gap (a large area at the rear) Sharp Shambles (rubbish storage area). Would anyone contemplate buying one of the new dwellings? Perhaps a nice little property (with scope for expansion) at No. 3 Amigo Avenue? Quote

Alec1954 Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I beleive that the council are considering extending the tip that exists under Clayton Playing fields except that it will specialise in waste food and when full, a nuclear power stastion is top be placed on top to gain benefit from the waste gases and save on heating bills.
