Blue_tak
And we, reportedly, got £350,000 for Eardley. Just think what a Million could do....
Latics_Fanatic
Surprised Lambert is still in our league! Simon Cox Found His Way Out.
garcon
I'm amazed Southampton can afford that, even with new owners - although they have offloaded a few and the manager said he was looking to bring a few in. From Rovers point of view, I'm happy that they've got a decent fee for him - he's the second best striker in the division behind Beckford for me. No doubt Beckford is a talented footballer and is exceptional with both feet (an assett at this level of football) However, after watching him play against oldham (and a few times at Elland road with my mates from leeds university), he definately lacks a footballing brain with regards to his position off the ball. I suppose this is expected with him playing for wealdstone albion (think thats who leeds signed him from) If Beckford can raise his footballing knowledge and receives the right kind of development of his game, i believe he can play at the top end of the championship easily! Ps. may i point out, i only watched leeds when oldham was too far to travel or they werent playing, i am 100% latics fan hehehe , also im glad rovers got some dosh for lambert (back to the subject of the thread)

garcon
Shouldn't have any trouble hauling them out of League One then... P.S. Fair comments on Beckford - my rating of him is almost purely on how many goals he scored last season!
ghostofcecere
Funny transfer though, I thought the reason Lambert wanted a move was because he had failed to settle in the south? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else

OldhamSheridan
Glenn Murray maybe? I would think that is who is thinking of. Well, Mrs Murray. I'd rather Lambert had gone to somewhere like Palace, and out of our division. But, I suppose there's always going to be someone decent knocking around teams in this division. Rocky_Latic
Suprised he went for so much. 'Dale had a big sell on clause on him, so take it Bristol Rovers have squeezed as much out of them as possible.
downender2
gasheads I know, and talked to last night are happy with the fee, but are worried about who is going to score the goals for 'em this season... just checking the odds for the Gas to go down...
