Very poor today.... no rubbish

Recommended Posts

Three or four matches in and; well, it can only get better. So poor. Forget Taylor - sell him ASAP.

Nonsense! Get a life, you obviously didnt go! We played well in patches but didnt get the breaks! The free kick they equalised from wasnt even a free kick although was bad goalkeeping which resulted in the goal! Hazell's backpass was horrendous and the guy has done that far too many times to be anything other than an amatuer player. He had a great season for us a couple of years ago but never been same since! Apart from the last 10 minutes it was a reasonable League 1 game.

We could have easily been 3 or 4 up by half time. It's a very fine line between being rubbish and being brilliant it seems. There is no middle ground, if we lose we were rubbish, sack the manager, sack the players, bring in x, y and z to give competition for places and bla bla bla. Today we dominated the first half and should have been confortably winning by half time, we didn't take our chances and were punished for it. Dean Brill doesn't fill me with any confidence and to be honest neither does Rubes but you don't become a bad player over night or over 6 months for that matter, a player way out of form.

There is plenty to build on from these opening games, we could easily have 9 possibly 10 points from the way we have played, we deserved to beat Stockport and were thwarted by a great goalkeeping performance, today we failed to take our chances and gifted the opposition their way back into it. We got what we deserved at Orient in a hard fought game and could and probably should have taken something from Millwall given our first half performance. Mid table no doubt beckons but it won't be through lack of quality, more through our own self destruction. Players to come back from injury that will improve our attacking options and that will help us put games to bed earlier (although getting chances was in no way a problem today), we just a cb and a keeper, get on it DP.

Very harsh Alec, the one thing we lacked today was a ruthless streak. Collectively we did ok - however there were one or two very poor performances. As for Taylor not sure if he's injured or unsettled but he needs to up the ante.
