oafcprozac
Summary of the Latics Player interview... There's been a lot of positivity about the ground move...the local businesses in Failsworth are particularly supportive, lots of letters, phone-calls emails and texts received in support. some people aren't true believers about the new stadium or convinced by the necessity of the move need a stadium with four sides, pleasant to visit and able to entertain guests still a little bit of opposition and not reported correctly, sensitive to opposition but we are the custodians of the club and we think it will be of benefit to the club and it is the right decision - not a done deal. Some people just don't want change Still hoping to break ground in the Spring Corney reckons the training and professionalism and camaradery is the best in his 6 years Pleased for Brill in his upturn in form (must be pre-Southampton) Newton reckons the new ground will be the catalyst for increased crowds and that will bring success on the pitch Penney - culture of inclusion, professionalism translating itself onto the pitch Mood in the camp is a marked improvement on previous regimes, training hard Loanees - Corney do we ever say no? Newton - We'll have to see how viable the request is. Seems Newton well and truly has his feet under the table..., Must be an interview from last week, but a fair summary... garcon
Well, I guess it depends how big an area you include. Sh*thole slum would arguably be relevant in the context of the proposed site being sandwiched between Moston and Newton Heath, although it would be unfair to describe Broadway as such, or indeed most of Failsworth. Not hugely dissimilar to Boundary Park I guess, with (quite well off) Royton on one side and Westwood on the other.
oafcprozac
sh** hole slum of an area??? explain Broadway junction and that area of Oldham Road where the majority of the businesses are is a dump, of course some of the back streets are pleasant enough but those business owners applauding the move know their businesses are in a pretty run-down area. tangerinedreams
Summary of the Latics Player interview... There's been a lot of positivity about the ground move...the local businesses in Failsworth are particularly supportive, lots of letters, phone-calls emails and texts received in support.- Positivity coming from where? the fans heart? I've not heard an enhanced heartbeat since it was announced. Correspondence in various forms........Spin! some people aren't true believers about the new stadium or convinced by the necessity of the move- After hearing numerous plans can you blame them? need a stadium with four sides, pleasant to visit and able to entertain guests still a little bit of opposition and not reported correctly, sensitive to opposition but we are the custodians of the club and we think it will be of benefit to the club and it is the right decision - not a done deal.-Concerned of a few wannabe farmers and the 'nimbys'? Some people just don't want change- You will get that in every walk of life, the move to Failsworth 'may' attract some more fans but 'may' also lose some./b] Still hoping to break ground in the Spring-Why so long? How long has 'a' move been on the cards! Corney reckons the training and professionalism and camaradery is the best in his 6 years- 'Comeradery' doesn't happen in a matter of months, it takes a lot longer than that. Greegs and Rubes FFS talk to each other, I thought you pair had a lovers tiff! Pleased for Brill in his upturn in form (must be pre-Southampton)-Agreed, impressed with him at Charlton, made some easy eye saves Newton reckons the new ground will be the catalyst for increased crowds and that will bring success on the pitch-Not IMO, I could be proved wrong though. Penney - culture of inclusion, professionalism translating itself onto the pitch-the man for the job IMO Mood in the camp is a marked improvement on previous regimes, training hard- Presumably reffering to the RSEND of last season, can't be hard to beat that IMO Loanees - Corney do we ever say no?- An awful run of bad luck regarding injuries up to yet, I'm happy with the teams league position under the current circumstances. Newton - We'll have to see how viable the request is. Seems Newton well and truly has his feet under the table..., Must be an interview from last week, but a fair summary... WTF has our ginger winger been diagnosed with????
