dkenyonqfc2
i find all this very worrying if we don,t even have money for a hotel stay for 1 night things must be bad and the warnings to the players over contracts confirms it.
underdog
i find all this very worrying if we don,t even have money for a hotel stay for 1 night things must be bad and the warnings to the players over contracts confirms it. They didn't stay overnight for the Southampton game either. Is it a case that the club are looking at where we are in the league and "classing" the games on importance whether they spend the cash or not? Also there have been a lot more Southern games this season and that must have hit the clubs pocket with the amount of ovenight stays too. Well we got a unexpected point at Southmapton, lets see what the result is today - maybe overnight stays have a detremental effect on this team and maybe we shouldn't do ovenights period from now on

BP1960
In comparison to the ordinary working man putting in over 40 hours a week many players are vastly overpaid and the game is due a reality check.

Nail on the head. If the game can get wages down across the board it becomes financially viable.
boundaryblue80
Simon Corney said otherwise. Corney says a lot...little of which is believeable... As for the fee they got for Eardley, if that's all they got, more fool them! They want to have a go at the stayaways for harming the club and then they sell they a decent asset for peanuts...one who would've been very important to us had we kept him this season. Decisions, decisions! Our boardroom hasn't made few good ones for a while... PS Had a text this morning that confirms lot of the OP's comments. Not too concerned about us travelling down today now the seasons over for us. More concerned about agreed bonuses not being paid though, whether they've been worth it or not. That is not a positive sign within the club whatsoever. But then, there haven't been many for a long time. Our crowds are :censored:...true...but the defeatist attitude from the top has added to the spiral in recent times...even David Brierley were more positive back in STR and SAFE Days and in comparison to TTA, he'd not a penny to rub together! Someone put a good point on the "Latin" thread..."Lead, or get out of the way!" Edited May 1, 2010 by boundaryblue80

Someone put a good point on the "Latin" thread..."Lead, or get out of the way!" do we not just think its a bit of a wake up call from the top and they have actually turned round and said, you havent earnt your bonus....why the hell should we pay you a bonus for a season of utter pap from you, half hearted lazy displays that has cost the team points, the club valuable income form fans leaving or not renewing....and almost cost the manager his job.....anybody still want a bonus please stand up...if not get your arses back out on the training ground and bloody well learn how to earn it.....or something like that.lol

Altho, "fans" will use that as something to beat Penney with...
