He very nearly got the Latics job when Penney was appointed - one of the very few possible candidates who I believe would have been as bad, if not worse, than DP. He's actually glad they'd gone down in a way, cos it's meant they could get rid of Adams and the overpaid, underperforming prima donnas they've suffered this season.
