Frankly Mr Shankly Posted August 16, 2011 Share Posted August 16, 2011 It was just an awful game full stop. It still felt like a defeat coming out that night because basically the whipping boys of the division, Stockport, who'd lost about a dozen home games pretty much played us off the park yet we scraped the vital goal. Perkins was superb for them that evening. I'm still astounded that we managed to stay up that season. We'll play better this season and probably go down. C'est la vie.
