seasidelatic
I am astounded by three things after the game. 1. How many Huddersfield fans come onto our board on the wind up, as if anyone cares? 2. How Jordan Rhodes has got a £10million price tag, he was barely noticeable yesterday and didn't really offer a goal threat. Leroy Lita looked far more dangerous when he was at this level. 3. How many of the Huddersfield fans to our right spent the entire ninety minutes facing our fans rather than the pitch, making :censored: gestures and mouthing 'see you outside'. Scary stuff The words 'Huddersfield Town' and 'promotion hopes' do not fit together in the same sentence

Your defenders did a decent job on Jordan but at times it took three to stop him by throwing themselves to the ground and faking injury. 3. From where I was sitting, it didn't exactly seem like a large number of your fans had come for a jolly afternoon of pleasantries either! Now you mention it, the words Oldham Athletic and pathetic fit together even better! Come on man, your lads gave it a bloody good go. As the game went on I was convinced you'd force a draw or that you might just nick one at the end. As it turned out we 'nicked' it! You slag us off if you like but just two League One defeats in 51 matches must say something? No?

Yes, it says you've got pots of money and, since you're still not in the top two, that you draw too many.
opinions4u
It's always dangerous for a team's supporters to become "Billy Big Bollocks" types before they've actually achieved anything. From now on I'll file Huddersfield fans alongside Leeds fans for their silly arrogance. Draw specialists.
slystallone
Only 2 defeats in 51 you say? Wow, thats amazing! That must mean you surged to promotion; winning the league at a canter....and are now firmly established as a top Championship side.....? What's that? You're still in League 1? Only 3rd too? What; seriously - after all the millions that have been spent you still didnt get promoted? Your stil not bossing the league this time around? Surely not? Mickey mouse stuff from you lot. Its easy to try to gloat about an unbeaten run (of which games where you actually lost are subtlely forgotten) when you've spent as much as you have on transfer fees and wages........but just where has it got you? League 1 - exactly where you should be! I could manage your side and achieve exactly what Clark has done. I could spend millions and not get you up, i wouldn't take as much in wages as Clark does either.....give me a call!!!!
opinions4u
There's a new football game out. It's called "Clarky" and it's how to make a small fortune out of football. The best method is to start with a large fortune.
Roger Ritchie
If I had a fiver for every opposing fan who's said their team played very well against us in the last twelve months I'd be a very rich man! Honest! Some have even said it's the best they've played all season after games. These sorts of comments are made all the more astounding when you consider we've now lost only two in 51 League One matches. Oldham played exactly like most teams do against us at the Galpharm, all effort, hard work and running but like most others, lacked quality in the final third. The ref was abysmal and seemed to fall for every fake injury and complaint, he was truly :censored:e! This type of game (and football) is one of the reasons I hope to Dear God we're able to rise above this level soon because quite frankly, it is utter rubbish. Well played Oldham for frustrating us for nearly an hour and a half but please - I hope we never have to play a Paul Dickov team ever again You won't get promotoed with Clark at the Helm. All money no substance. Some great players at Huddersfield. They should be walking that league.

From now on I'll file Huddersfield fans alongside Leeds fans for their silly arrogance. Draw specialists. It's this mentality that they somehow 'deserve' to be at a higher level that gets me. Historically, haven't they always been around about a 3rd tier club? We're hardly talking about Sheffield Wednesday or a club of that stature. Still, it must be pretty grinding having spent all those millions and still playing at the same level as little ol' Oldham.

Still, it must be pretty grinding having spent all those millions and still playing at the same level as little ol' Oldham. This /\ Unbeaten run and all that jazz...so what. We have achieved just as much as they have over Lee Clark's tenure when all is said & done. Namely; we're still in League 1 & so are they. It's just that we haven't spent millions & millions to achieve that awesome achievement. Off what I have seen of them over the 2 season's of PD managing us, and even Dodgy Dave's reign too- they are average. They may have expensive players in their side, they may have the divisions 'hottest talent' currently playing for them - but in all the recent games; they have looked a very ordinary side indeed. I'd actually want my money back If i'd have invested in them. So much investment & so little return. Now - Southampton last season; now they were a side where you just have to take your hat off & say 'chuffin hell, they're a good side'. Those lot over the tops - nah. Average at best. And it's cost a small fortune to achieve average. We've done that - for free
SSH
I'm sorry you had a visit from one of our WUMs, and I guess that a lot of animosity stems from that, but some of the stuff in this thread is as laughable. Last season we played each other at a similar time, and I got told there wasn't a chance in hell we would make the Play Offs. Also, a lot of your fans were saying they wouldn't bother watching their side if they started to resort to Alan Lee tactics, so not sure if any of them have stopped watching, after a neutral newspaper even commented on your players going down! As for all the money, not achieving anything and all that. I'm not all that fussed. Last year was my best year watching football; Alan Lee scoring at Arsenal, Kay's winning penalty versus Bournemouth and Rhodes' 97th minute equaliser at Hillsborough, all absolutely magical moments... in the five years before we got Clark, I don't think I had so many magical moments in total! Yes, I'd love to go up, mainly so that home games don't involve us playing against sides with eleven men behind the ball every week, but I go to matches to enjoy them, and for all we haven't achieved, I've been looking forward to matches for the past couple of years, whereas before that I was thoroughly disillusioned. I like SSH. Reasoned, intelligent and probably wears a bit of deodorant. Fair play to you for enjoying your football that is what it is there for. Get rid of Clark and you would be playing at a higher level. Everything is in place for the club to be in the Championship. The players, the ground, (recently) the fanbase. However I honestly think Clark leaves a lot to be desired. He won't get the sack because of his unbeaten record, however I can't help but think another manager would turn a lot of those draws into wins. Even if you lost a few, you might as well win two and lose one (6 points for those of you without an abacus) than draw three (3 points for those of you without a calculator watch) or win one draw 2 (5 points for those of you without a mate who is good at maths).
