leeslover Posted February 21, 2012 Share Posted February 21, 2012 I wouldn't be looking to bring him on as a big lump to go long to ever again, so I guess he needs either the luxury of coming on when we are winning or a few late games with safety when we might give him a start to show what he can do in a different role, I think he is going to struggle to get a look in otherwise. Unfortunately we generally don't play either of these ways so the only use we'll get from Smith is as a target for desperate 10/15 minute periods at the end of games. When Reid comes back I'd send Smith to League 2 until May, where I think he'd be really successful and possibly come back a better player and, hopefully for him, in a more favourable system here. I would be quite happy to wager a bet that we dont see Reid start more than 2 games for the rest of the season .
