TheBigDog
Reserves beat Walsall 3-2 with goals from Smith (2) and M'Changama. Sounds like Matty should have had a couple more. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/20121016-reserveswalsall-429555.aspx Edited October 16, 2012 by TheBigDog
oafc-latics
bit of confidence is what the guy needs, given the way we're playing, Orient won't fancy Matty Smith trundling on in the last ten minutes!
Lags
Said all before, Smith is not mobile to make it high in the game but the lad will score goals. Sure he misses plenty but at least he's there to miss um.
opinions4u
Time to drop Derbyshire. Not scored in last two.

The only way he should get 10 minutes is if we are in front by the odd goal or two. If we are drawing/worse or winning comfortably I'd be giving him more than 10 minutes- especially as he scored against Orient last season. JoeP
Time to drop Derbyshire. Not scored in last two. In all seriousness, if we lose Derbyshire, Smith should be given a run in the team. He's served his time as the "last ten minute alternative when nothing else is working". Played well at Pompey when given time to get into the game. Even now we should be looking at cheap options for next season - why not give a chance to one of our very own. bluehobbit
Get Smith in between the posts as Dickov said post match and he is a threat if he can time his runs hes great in the air and will nod a few in Its his lack of pace and upper body strength that lets him down the rest of the time - there is something there with him tho and i for one would love to see him get a couple more in the next few games - one or two at home would be nice
