oafcprozac
Right that's as far as I've got, i'll root through the other tapes and take it on from the Burton replay onwards (which was before the Barnsley game but as it was live I'll have to dig out just the goals and shoot out)
Lee Sinnott
Would have been lovely if Clyde could have stayed fit all season...
oafcprozac
Would have won the league if he could have kept up the scoring form, sadly his knees were made of shortbread….
footy68
Would have won the league if he could have kept up the scoring form, sadly his knees were made of shortbread…. Wasn't that after he damaged his legs in a car crash?

oafcprozac
Wasn't that after he damaged his legs in a car crash? Yeah, did well to survive but it was his shoulder that bore the brunt of it. His knee injury flared up around October time, they tried to 'manage it' brought him back for a couple of weeks around end of Nov beginning of Dec. After the home defeat to Wigan the news broke his season was over, before he appeared back in the starting line-up at Field MIll without any reserve outings whatsoever or any football in the preceding 3 months! He wasn't fit at all and the fact he only scored 2 goals in the next 15 games showed that, as did the rest of his career.

Lee Sinnott
On a side note Paul, don't suppose you have Latics away at Barnsley in the title winning season do you? When, judging by the video, half of Oldham was in the away end...

no1laticsfan
He is absolutely mental. Always bladdered. My mate (a latics fan) lives in Leeds. We have been on a few nights out there and met him in Chappel Allerton a few times. Last summer he randomly started showing us all ladyboy porn on his phone, then tried blagging a table at my mates wedding (which was the next day). On the plus side - he will buy you a drink. On the negative side - he will try and grab your balls. Haha. It seems y

oafcmetty
Interesting to see how many goals we scored with first time shots from either the edge of the area or just inside.
pukka
Barnsley away... Baudet 1st goal won me £100. At the time the biggest win Id ever had on football. Before ko someone was having a right pop at him warming up, I told him where to go and being a cocky 18 year old I decided to go to the outside bookies and stuck a few quid on him FGS... I was still waving my slip at him when Sheron equalised a minute later.

LaticsChris
Two things that have surprised me looking back are that we still had Carlo in the team and that Scotty Vernon had already emerged. I always associate Carlo with 2000-2002 and had forgotten he scored the winner at the 'Ammers. Also, in my fairytale imagination I had Vernon's winner against City in '05 filed under 'Rookie Striker Downs Prem Giants'. Good job we have the internet and I don't have to rely on my memory. c.hill12
This for me (as a 27 year old) is the best season i remember. I missed only 1 game all season in all comps which was col u away as i was abroad. I remember going top at swindon and drawing west ham in the cup! What a season!!! I remember david eyres telling us that before the brown stuff hit the fan, dowie went to m**re and basically said keep this team and get me a striker and i will win this league next seaon. Gotta agree with him there.

Blu-Blood
I was 15 and I only missed 4 games all season. All away games on weeknights, Luton, Cardiff, Brizzle City and West Ham. Best season I've ever seen. Loved seeing myself dancing around like a lunatic on some of these videos
