Mellor and Harkins standouts for me! Wes had a good game and Smith too!

Wes for me. Ran his bollox off and gave 110% all game, as always. Add the winning goal and Bob's your uncle.

Wes for me, bossed midfield; dangerous going forward; a headed goal (although he was smaller than all of their players); and all this whilst wearing what could soon be the must have fashion accessory in Oldham.

 

Harkins and Mellor could easily have won MOTM today has both played well. In Rooney's 10 minute cameo he didn't put a foot wrong for me, exactly what was required so I'm giving him a "shout out" too.

Either Wes, Tarky or Smith are going to be player of this season for the consistent performances they put in but Mellor had the toughest job on the pitch today in dealing with Morais, who was definitely Stevenages best player and possibly the most creative player on the pitch.

 

They targeted Mellor as a supposedly weak point, like they did on the first day of the season, and he stood up admirably.

Could have been any out of Mellor, Wesolowski or Harkins for me. All played tremendously well.

I thought Oxley played well, that reaction save to Morais' cross/shot was quality. Ive given it to Mellor myself, dealt with Morais very well.
