The stand out fact of me is we raise around £10k a year with only 2% of the fanbase contributing. Imagine how massive this COULD be! Latics playershare WHAT IS IT? It is a scheme set up by trust oldham in the wake of the clubs financial crisis in 2002 to help the club bring LUke beckett to the club on loan, who eventually scored the goals to keep us up. The scheme now hss it's own committee of dedicated supporters who oversee the running of the scheme and any fundraising. Cedrick Evina and Shefki Kuqi are amongst others who have been part funded by Laticcs Playershare. HOW BIG IS THIS SCHEME? It is a very successful scheme, at the minute raising over £10k a year to aid the manager in his team building. BUT that is just using donations from an average of 80 regular contributors, which is an average of 2% of our home gate. So imagine what we could achieve, and the calibre of player we could attract if we can drive that percentage up. If we aim for 5% initially, that gives the manager an extra £25000 to use to improve our squad. That would be coming from 200 contributors.the potential is massive. HOW CAN I HELP? There are numerous ways you can assist, the easies is to become a regular contributor. This is our largest income stream and the potential is outlined above. Donate from as little as £1 a week upto what you feel you can afford. You can set up a standing order in your bank using the details below or give the form to a committee member. Ser up or attend one of our events. We've had christmas parties and race nights to help fund the scheme and they have proved to be very successful. Bring your idea to the committee and we will be only too pleased to help you. Use the playershare webshop. It doesn't cost you any extra, all you do is go to the site, click the link you want to use and shop as normal. There's a huge variety of retailers on there from Ebay and Amazon to iflorist and B&Q. You can also book your holidays, or travel arrangements on there including for away games. Use the virgin trains link or Trainline for travel and one of the many hotel booking links. You can also earn the scheme money when you change energy supplier using the relevant link. This has raised £3000 in the 2 and a half years it has been running and has huge potential. Enter a playershare pledge. On the owtb.co.uk site there is an initiative set up where you pledge a certain amount of money if a certain thing happens. They range from donating £5 for every latics win to £10 for every latics sending off to £2 for every ball kicked over the building site at boundary park. We are approaching £1000 raised so far and it was only started at the beginning of this season. Recently we have tasked ourselves with re-launching the scheme to aid Paul Dickov and his management team in bringing a player (s) to the club when it is felt necessary. As the newsletter is available to all supporters why not just either give us a link or copy and paste the whole thing into this thread.
