bluearmyof1
Having a brief skim through the supporters direct website it seems you are right. You can however change the constitution of the trust with a 75% majority of a meeting (if our trust's constitution is the same as the model one). Presumably an easier thing to do would be to bring a confidence vote up at the next trust meeting? The website doesn't seem to say when the next meeting is. How would you go about putting a vote of confidence on the agenda?

Turn up, raise your hand to speak, then say "I would like to put forward a motion for a vote of no confidence in the Chairman's position". Someone will need to second that motion. A vote should then be taken.... Or something to that affect.... That should be about it if the trust isn't a dictatorship or an old boys club.... Maybe someone from the trust could let you know.... You could ask Barry but he doesn't come here any more I should point out that in reality there will probably be a lot of erring and arring before you are spun some bull:censored: that he can only be removed by the directors at the next vote. Which at that point you can legally declare shenanigans . Edited January 7, 2015 by oafc0000

melia
Ched Evans looks certain to sign now. I think we all have to live with this fact. The rumoured deal is 2.5 years and I've heard both £400 a week and £2000 a week salaries. The petition hasn't worked, despite the 5 figure number it presents. The club/board clearly haven't viewed this forum or the other for that matter. We now need to look forward to Saturday. It is a very important fixture against our former manager and we need the three points to maintain our climb to target the play offs and promotion. Despite the boycott, we all need to unite and show our outrage at the board but whilst offering our strong support for the team. Enter BP/ SportsDirect.com arena with confidence of a win and at the end of the game voice your concern legitimately against Evans and the board through chant and stay at full time to continue. Likewise, I further suggest every single fan clogs up the clubs email. Email the club and voice your concern, tell them your reasons for being against the signing of a convicted rapist prior to his appeal. The email is: enquiries@oldhamathletic.co.uk The key members of the board consists of Neil Joy as chief exec, Simon Corney (97% ownership) is chairman and Barry Owen as Fans Representative. A voice in the matter is strong and this should be directed towards the club from the person of all fans. We all love Oldham Athletic and in my opinion the club is run strongly and effectively by Simon Corney, whom without him, we would be in god knows what division. But on this occasion, the majority of fans feel they have not been listened to. Again, email the club and voice this concern. 3000 emails wont be taken to kindly by those who are responsible to answer them. Saturday v Doncaster awaits. Lets get behind Lee Johnson and his team!!!! COME ON OLDHAM!!! 3 points please!!! A post about focusing on the game Saturday. Yet you choose to spend 75% of your text on complaining about signing Evans ... Edited January 7, 2015 by melia
Canada_latic
The sad thing is I really don't care if we win on Saturday now. I don't want the signing of Evans to be rewarded All I hope is that on his debut he gets injured and we never see him again. I hope he gets injured during training, career threatening! How would you go about putting a vote of confidence on the agenda? It certainly isn't a million miles away. I've asked the Trust to produce a copy but they haven't yet been able to (!). Might be worth getting in touch with Supporters Direct - believe they keep copies on file. I can give you contact details if you like? Might be worth tipping them off as to what's going on also... Diego_Sideburns
MENOAFC @MENOAFC 3h3 hours ago Oldham's press box is already full for Sat's game v Doncaster. Obviously must be to see whether Liam Kelly will be back from injury... #oafc
Schlieb
Would laugh my tits off if he eventually got found to be not guilty in his appeal. In my opinion, I'm not arsed. Decent player who will find his way back into the game somehow, so it might as well be by bagging us some much needed goals. We all eventually accepted a murderer in our side.. Yes it's different. But in black and white.. We accepted a guy who killed someone when he had a choice to not drive. I'll be there Saturday to support my team. Each to their own. If you don't like it don't come. I suspect you'll be back sooner than you think.
