I see Kelly is looking for 2 pacy wingers........maybe he has been on here and listened to you BP1960?

 

The only problem is a L1 pacy winger generally has one fundamental problem......they can't cross a ball for toffee or they would be playing higher up the leagues.

 

And after all we have about as good a record with wingers over the last few as we do with strikers!

Spot on. Holden and Redfearn couldn't out pace my granny, but they had fantastic crossing/passing ability. It's quality that counts, and you don't get a lot of that at this level. Fast headless chickens are a waste of time.

Forte, Poleon & Morgan-Smith are/were pacy wingers.....

I preferred a variation, one fast winger and one winger with some guile.

DK just needs to tell the wingers to whip the ball into the penalty area and have men waiting for them..These were Roger Palmer's simple instructions to Ricky Holden.
