He assures us he did nothing to provoke anyone.” The following day the young victim was transferred to the Royal Oldham Hospital, where he remains. davegtt Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 There were a police presence interviewing lots of youths outside the train station after the game, must have missed what happened but cant have been by much time, we literally went straight back to the station. Hope he recovers quickly.
Flemboy Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Glad he is on the mend.Sounds like a cowardly unprovoked attack. May be cameras near the station to help get the scroats responsible
L1onheartNew Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 All of the train station in QLD are fitted with CCTV. May be an idea for UK train companies to follow suit. On the flip side, using the same technology, a man was also convicted of videoing a group of girls with his smart phone. There were no videos on his phone and he claims that he was listening to music. A further forensic investigation revealed that metadata on the music programme that he was using indicated that the Bluetooth feature was activated on or around the same time. The conviction was overturned. It is a sad state of affairs when people have to be watched wherever they go. What is worse is that the people conducting the investigation have no idea on how to use the tech or that people would abuse it for their own distorted realities.
Frankly Mr Shankly Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) Turns out the Latics fan injured is my cousin's son. He's had two major leg operations but think he's on the mend now. Horrible club Sheff Utd, horrible fans. Edited March 24, 2016 by Frankly Mr Shankly
