MAC0AFC
He would have lost quite a bit of speed over the years anyhow.

Oafc1895
Even if he has lost any pace he had then id still happily carry him all the way down the M62. Jose is by a country mile the best player I have seen in a latics shirt. The natural ability he has when he has the ball at his feet is second to none. He might not work hard or put enough tackles in but he is able to pick a pass out that can split open a defence. When Judas put him up top with Matty Smith in 2013 it saved our season cause he didn't have to work hard and the combination they had was unbelievable, that singlehandedly saved our season. Anyone that says they wouldn't have him back must be pissed.

The irony being that you refer to 'judas' in your post while telling everyone a fat lazy fucker who wanted to leave for a bigger club is the best thing ever. Each to there own... palmer1
Not sure how that post has you reaching that conclusion? Pointing out how Baxter looked and played at the start of the season he left. I always forget that favourites get a free pass Edited March 29, 2017 by palmer1

Each to there own... Players will always come and go. Plus we couldn't afford the contract we put Jose on to get him to stay, we just needed him to stay. Usually however managers give a little more loyalty as they know they are a lot easier to get rid of. Getting a team from relegation threatened to in the playoffs by the start of march shows you're on the right track, and given we took a massive shot in the dark and gave him his chance then we deserved a lot more from him than we got. super_blue
They'll be no rush on his part to come here...needs to get back into the swing of things way before a move! http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11671/10744257/jose-baxter-to-make-everton-return-after-serving-drug-ban

You have absolutely nothing to base that theory and no manager has ever stated that as a reason to stay anywhere. Can you blame him for leaving and making money if he's so easy to get rid of?
