oafc-benn
Hi all This Saturday (9th Sept) at the match vs Dorking, the team from Greater Manchester Blood Bikes will be around the stadium collecting and answering any questions people have about the valuable work we do. We are a team of around 60 who all volunteer and give up our time free of charge to transport Blood, Platelets, Medication and Donor Breast Milk between Hospitals around the Greater Manchester area. We receive no central funding so all monies we collect will be used to help keep our fleet of motorbikes and 2 cars on the road to save the NHS thousands per year. Pop along outside the club shop and say hello. www.gmbb.org.uk
Lags
Whilst I think central government should properly fund these things and far too much these days isn't, I'll donate to your collection. It's a wonderful thing you all do, especially free and in your own time. Well done you.

redlion
As a biker myself I can appreciate the dangers blood bikers risk. Heavy lorries, swirling spray, lane hopping drivers etc, it's all extra risk while volunteering for a very worthy cause. These guys and gals go out in all weather 24/7 365 days a year while we are tucked up snug at home.
