    I was worried about being pipped to the title. With this manager it’s clear we may not even make the play offs. If we sack him very early doors we may still be able to salvage the season.

    There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic for the season ahead. We'll likely win a lot more than we lose and have a serious chance of promotion for the first time in a very long time! I appreciate my response to you came across as rather blunt, but I really wouldn't expect entertaining football next season. It's just not how Unsworth rolls. I just hope his stifling style produces the results we need.

    Not going to happen. By all accounts he had us parked in our own half against *Hyde* When we don’t win games this season it will be a grizzly watch.

    Chesterfield seem ahead of us squad wise and also in their pre-season prep. I think we’ll finish in the play-offs but I don’t back us to hold our nerve during those. We may win the League next season (24/25) and then the momentum could see us end up in League 1 very quickly. Will Unsworth be at the wheel for that? Doubtful. I hope i’m proven wrong and we romp the league this season instead.

    Yup, I don't think we nearly have enough to mount a playoff campaign. There are currently too many holes in the squad. Also, the season finishes 20th April which means this is going to be tough on a squad, especially when they have to also try and fit in the inevitable postponements when dog and duck sides like Wealdstone fail to get their pitch in order after some bad weather.

    I tend to find Unsworth a dishonest man truth be told so I really wouldn’t take his word as gospel. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

    Another right back we can’t sign. Shame we can’t sway a National League North side. We may have to wait until late July for a loan which is not good. This adds some serious imbalance to the side and we’re still lacking some depth at the back.
