Just gotta hope Liverpool come back with another 20+ million bid for Richards, and City are willing to sell him as they've replaced him with somone else.

I can feel a demonstration coming on, similar to that of the red :censored:e's green and gold campaign, plus the club could make a few bob by selling car stickers, banners, flags etc with your logo on it. Could be a good way to show the council exactly what we think about them.

I'm probably talking bollox here, but how about a move to middleton, ground sharing with Rochdale and Bury. Yeah the FA may have a headache sorting out the fixtures, and the pitch would take some wear and tear, on top of that it would all depend on the three clubs being in favour of the move, but with many lower league clubs close to going bust. I think ground sharing is really the only way forward, and Middleton would be pretty much slap bang between all 3 clubs. Like i said i'm probably talking bollox, and i'm just dreaming.

I don't post often on this board, tend to be more of a reader, but after reading the chron i feel so fked off at the moment. Watching other clubs around the country with there forward thinking councils, moving into new stadiums i.e Chesterfield. Whilst we carry on in this delapadated stadium, yet have been trying for a new ground for years, but constantly having obsticles thrown in the way. I'm taking my daughter to her 1st game tomorrow she's 5, and i seriously worry that shortly we'll have no football team left in the town to support. No football team, no Cinema just as backward council that has no vision.

I agree, i think taking a gamble on a young manager may be the best way. Perhaps the board should consider scouting the coaching courses looking for young ambitous managers that seem to have there head screwed on.

I dont comment much on this site, i'm more of a reader, but imo alot of the fans and the board should shoulder the blame for our current predicament. We had a young decent manager in Sheridan who in my opinion over achieved in what he did here. Getting us in the play offs, and top half of the table on a regular basis and playing half decent football to boot. I understand that just prior to his removal we had the dogs saga and the results started to fall away, but i think he'd done enough to warrant a bit longer at the helm. A large portion of the fans however felt different and started clamour for his removal and the board listened. Now look at us in the relegation places playing dreadful football with a team full of journey men who couldn't score in a brothel. The same happened with Ronnie Moore. I do agree though this time Penney does need to go as i cant see us getting out of this mess with him in charge. I just hope if he does go and we get a half decent manager in charge the fans snd board will be patient with him and allow us to slowly build.
