  1. I suspect there is a fair amount of libel in there. I particularly appreciated the charming young fella who abused us on the train back to London Bridge. Apparently we should be ashamed to support a club with Lee Hughes at it, Hughes demonstrated that he had no remorse by smiling (he'd just scored a hat-trick FFS) and we showed that we agreed with everything Hughes had ever done by singing his name. The cock then returned to singing his song about Harry Roberts which ends in the line "He kills coppers". I decided that the irony would have been lost on him, so didn't point it out!
  2. But I'd love to see how the question was phrased for JUNIOR mastermind
  3. How about we get a sponsor and name it after an all time Latics great I can see it now: The (Phil) Starbucks Arena
  4. There was a better atmosphere on that car park last night, with 7 of us than there was at Orient this season
  5. Yeah right, course you were! I also thought the behaviour of Mr & Mrs Sideburns was despicable last night. Those poor traffic wardens were only doing their jobs
  6. I can't imagine anything happening until we have received detailed planning permission on the full development. Hope I'm wrong but I think we might have a few more hurdles to jump before we can start picking our seats in the new stand
  7. I was there... and I guess that when it comes to detailed planning permission, I'll probably be there again
  8. Does that mean that they are leaving their plastacene at home? It seems a strange one, they appear to be turning up in smaller numbers each time this is heard. I'd like to think that they've had a tip off. If this is true, though, it means that more Latics fans will be able to fit into the chamber which can only be a good thing.
  9. These are actually mutiple choice answers to the question "Who first comes into your mind when the third word is mentioned in a well known Oldham chant about Yorkshire?"
  10. I'm hoping that tomorrow's revised planning application includes a 14m* plinth under the ground so that we can take that title of highest league ground *the 14 foot came from Wikipedia but I'm not confident based upon the fact that the same page states that our current ground capacity is...23,624

  12. Out in round one Mr Sideburns He scored 6, Stitch got t'other
  13. We can't possibly have Frankie Bunn and Scarborough. Unless one of the questions is "Who's Paul Scholes' all time hero?"
  14. Fantastic. Can we try to guess some of the answers? I'm going for: Roger Palmer Pine Villa 1915 Ian Wood Ford Sporting Combined League Scarborough
  15. There's a pretty straight forward reason for selling lower tier first... they are the only tickets that have arrived from Goodison yet!
  16. Don't peak too early mastap, the fight isn't expected to start before 4am
  17. I've been well up for this for some time now but after watching the weigh in, I can't wait now. The atmosphere over there seems amazing. Bring on tomorrow night... still won't be able to bring myself to sing Blue Moon though
  18. That must be last year because even the atmosphere in the pub was s t this year. Sorry, this was a positive thread
  19. That'd be the subtle difference between a singers pub and a singing pub. The pub element is for getting yourself in the correct frame of mind only. The atmosphere should be created in the ground.
  20. It seems to me from various posts on a number of threads that we have a decent core of people posting on this board who want to sing. I think the first step, therefore needs to be for us to make a decision that we are going to sit together at away games. We should be nominating an OWTB singers pub before each game where we all meet up, have a few jars to loosen the vocal chords and then go into the game as a group and sit together. A group of fifty of us should be able to start to create an atmosphere. Based upon those sort of numbers, I think that people would be prepared to join in. If not, screw them, we'll do it on our own. Home games are going to be more difficult. Any suggestions are welcome.
  21. Sorry, Diego, I can't fully agree. As you probably noticed, I didn't have any sympathy for KK on his booking, it is far to common an occurance for me. I had a little more sympathy for Hughes as the decision against him was a disgrace. The abuse the two of them were getting however started a long time before either booking. These incidents just (IMO) gave her even more amunition. When she accused Hughes of being lazy, I nearly p!ssed my sides. He was working so hard.
