Chesterfield played a very high defensive line giving us and especially Dallas lots of space to run into behind them. Front two were excellent today and was good to see Dallas having a positive impact.
Is Hobson injured?
With having had Unsworth as manager for the first 9 league games and the players we have, how many points behind Chesterfield wouldn’t be a disgrace at this stage?
Indeed, at this stage of the season it makes more sense to continue with a formula that’s produced a decent return of PPG, even if it’s less than aesthetically pleasing.
On a separate note, sounds like Norwood could be back a lot sooner than originally anticipated.
MM seems to like McGahey in that role in front of defence, especially in away games. Whichever combination of 3 are played, Conlon and Sheron have to come in IMO.
Got a feeling it’ll be Conlon, Sheron and McGahey in the middle. Not saying McGahey has been great, far from it, but Lundstram has been disappointing, and been hooked the last few games.
Can see Reid replacing Willoughby on the bench, if fit.
From what I’ve read from Hartlepool fans, Mancini has been injured and shouldn’t be playing any more than half an hour tops tomorrow. Their top goalscorer is still missing, their defence concede a lot of goals, and they want Askey gone.
Expecting goals from both teams, but us to win by a goal or two.
